PSA - Don't force your support to play tanks because you didn't want to play a tank

So tired of hearing people say "oh we don;t have a tank, support go tank" Tank supports don;t get as tanky as a top lane or jungle tank, because supports always have less gold. So next time you want to force your support to do it because you didn;t feel like it, please remember that we take longer to get our items than everyone else, thanks - Support main

Or

Don't force the support to be the main engage then expect them to be able to peel for the adc

I don't even count support tanks as tanks or initiators. They don't get as much gold early game as the jungler or top and require sightstone/support item first, a 1000 gold sink on an already reduced budget. It is much more dangerous for them to engage, and their engages don't make as much of an impact because they're underleveled.

I don't mind playing support when I get autofilled, but I hate it when people demand I play a tank.

I'm great at mage supports and pretty good at enchanter supports, but I'm bad at playing tanks. Yeah, I know, they're generally very simple to play, but I have very little practice on them and they're just not my kind of playstyle.

So, sorry. If you want your Kha'zix jungle and Jayce top, that's totally fine, but don't complain to me because you guys didn't pick a tank. Sheesh.

Don't force your jungler or top to play tank because you wanted to play Brand support? It works all directions. Teams need tanks, no single role is responsible for it.

I prefer going the utility/healer support and having a tanky top/jungler as they're able to do their job and I'm able to do mine effectively. I can't play tank supports very well, as hard as I've tried, I prefer not to go in with these ADCs I wind up getting who just spectate while I initiate with the jungler.

It isn't always about having a "tanky" Tank, its about their role in the team. You often need an initiator, and "tanks" tend to be the best initiators...

Also, I would love to play tank right now, but they are just fucking awful. 0 survive-ability against this armor pen nuke meta.

this is exactly why i stopped playing supp. top wants to be some jayce type and jung wants to be eve, so i have to play a tank support?

I think the word 'support' pulls a short circuit in some people's brains. Like you're "there to support them in their having fun", not to enjoy yourself.

When it comes to constructing team comps, the masters of this are supports and junglers (the two roles that get punished the worst for lack of synergy- we learn from nescessity). You don't always need a tank. There are comps other than 'team-fight'.
