Message to everyone complaining about Autofill:

If you get autofilled, just ask to swap roles with someone.

Seriously, you'd be surprised at how many people would like to swap.

Just do something like let your team know that X role isn't your best and you'd be more comfortable playing Y role, and see if someone wants to switch. if not, then you'll just have to play it out and do your best to go even/not feed.

Yeah, it still sucks getting autofilled, but in the meantime you can lessen it's impact.

So yeah, just finished my first ever ranked game as support, with autofill: chose top or mid, but I ended up support.

"Any chance I might top or mid?" "no brah sorry" "ok"

"vayne, tell me, what do you prefer as support? i could go velkoz, or taric, or soraka, tell me a bit what you'd prefer" "idk man, what you want...you autofilled, it's lost"

I bought sightstone (what the fucking fuck is it for anyway, I buy wards on my own), I didn't steal any farm, poke and harass'd enemies, and adc just went 14 cs in 15 minutes saying he "gave up when i got autofilled". Jungler kept saying "it's lost man just surrend, you see this vel koz" (yeah i chose vel at the end, according to vayne).

I warded, ping'd, bought supp items, and everything I always read in this forum people complain about when someone gets auto filled support, results? We lost the game so hard because Vayne fed, jungler didn't gank a single time and enemy jungler camped bot and everyone reported me. Yeah, I guess I could lessen its impact like this.

I think that was just the worst luck ever to get a team that gave up in champ select.

It might have been, but this is exactly why autofill doesn't just affect the one autofill'd, but the whole team attitude. And that is also why it needs to end, because I can't be reported for trying to do what Riot assigned me to do, I tried so hard.

You did your job. They failed theirs. Don't get disheartened because they gave up. It's actually nice to hear someone take the role seriously. It honestly saddens me to see a role I truly cherish dragged through the mud by people not taking it seriously.

So I know you had a bad game there, but thank you for trying. It is appreciated.

That Feel When you get autofilled support, then the enemy team has to remake and you get autofill protected.

Edit: Less likely but happened, you get autofilled mid and then get autofill protected to go mid possibly two more times.

People often don't want to swap to support.

Either way, I want a player that plays support. Autofill gives us a bad one guaranteed.

I can confirm that every time I've been autofilled into ADC, I have swapped away and not played it myself.

However, that's not the problem I have with autofill. It's the fact that it takes much longer to get into a game because of other people constantly dodging.

Once Autofill is removed they should put in a low priority similar to Dota2, so you have to actually win games in order to get out. Then maybe people will stop dodging for no reason.

If they remove autofill, most of the dodging will stop anyway? They people doing the dodging are the ones who got autofilled.

He said in pre-game he didn't know how to support. I said, "Don't take CS, don't feed, and you'll probably do fine. I'll try to drop a trap on anyone you land a Q on."

He did really well, and I got fed and kicked ass. Never give up.
