Whenever Jhin would get a mastery level higher than 4, he instead gets an extra level 4 mastery emote. That way, when he's level 7 he can press his mastery button and have 4 separate level 4 badges pop up over his head instead of ONLY one level 7 mastery emote.
Please, this buff is necessary so Jhin mains can continue playing their favorite champion past level 4.

Every Jhin must face the sick irony - that when they finally master this champion, they would be left with a most hideous number, five. Only perfection is acceptable.
Though I suppose in a way, it just makes this all the more bittersweet. Jhin is all about savoring the moment. What a lovely feeling when you get a Quadrakill, with four items, at 44:44 minutes and at mastery level 4. A moment that will never come again.
