Item Stats

The concept I am proposing is that any Item that has more than 1 stat that is the highest tier for that stat is broken by design

AD items: BT - 80 ad 20% lifesteal can overheal

  • highest base ad
  • highest base lifesteal
  • only item that can overheal IE - 80 ad 50% crit damage 20% crit chance
  • highest base ad
  • only crit damage enhancer
  • not the highest crit chance Botrk - 25 ad 8%hp 10% lifesteal 40% attack speed
  • not highest base ad
  • only %hp on-hit
  • not highest lifesteal
  • not highest attack speed

Based on this concept -BT is extremely broken as all three of its stats are top tier base stats -IE is only a little too strong because it has two top tier base stats -Botrk is well designed because it only has one top tier base stat (although that top tier base may be broken)

Suggested fix BT 60 ad 30% lifesteal can over heal (add over healing to other items as well all of them including this one having weaker shields that can stack)

  • second tier base ad
  • top tier lifesteal
  • not only over heal IE 80 ad 25% crit damage 20% crit chance (add crit damage to other items as a stack-able stat)
  • top tier base ad
  • not only crit damage
  • not top tier crit chance Botrk 25 ad 6%hp 50% attack speed
  • low tier base ad
  • only %hp (percent change due to the amount of op complaints
  • not top tier attack speed (increased to compensate for damage loss

Along with adding more Items/ reworking all items to not have more than 1 top tier stat I think this would make it far easier to maintain a healthy balance in items and encourage choosing items carefully instead of just buying what is obviously stronger.

I actually really like this suggestion. I definitely think the game could use more item variety and I support the notion of choosing items carefully.

That being said, I'm not a huge fan of making I.E.'s passive into a stack-able stat like you suggested, though I do agree it should be the top-tier base AD item. Also, 30% lifesteal on BT sounds outrageous on paper - 25% is a bit more tame, and even that might be over the top.

The numbers were just a way of showing the idea and what it might look like. For BT I wanted it to be the premier lifesteal item, at the cost of damage. As for the stackable crit damage, I was thinking it would be a stat on 1 or 2 other items so that you could have 25% more crit damage given that there will likely be less ad gains over all.

But point being that creating/reworking items in this fashion should reduce the number of items that are basically a guaranteed pick.

But Who cares about damage when you instantly out heal damage one 1vs2 scenarios.
