When will Winning feel rewarding?

Now a days, since games are so damn one-sided, you can tell you're going to win after about 5-10 minutes. In addition, with Riot's dedication to shortening games, it makes it all that easier to keep on steam rolling. I played a game yesterday where I was on the losing side. I went top lane and it was basically a draw, our mid lane won their lane and jungle did pretty good but the ADC story was quite different. Jinx (enemy team) was roughly 10-0-2 leaving lane. Game ended at about the 20 minute mark in which Jinx achieved two penta kills in a span of about 3 minutes. We tried to get to her but item 3139 and lifesteal makes it pretty damn hard with other people in the way. We just couldn't do anything. Before this season, I can honestly say the most fun games for me were the 55+ minute plus games where there was so much more strategy involved and teamfights were more grueling than an assassin or ADC just dump trucking everyone. Even when I win today, it's like, did we just play bots or something?

for some reason riot seems to think we like getting stomped, or stomping the other team.

bunch of wankers what never play their own game it seems.

I prefer the games where everyone is at full build. Really then comes down to skill, rather than snowballing bullshit.

Current FOTM champs are not end game champs.

Current game mini-meta does not allow for end game champs to reach their full potential.

So aside from luck, early game champs dumping on late game champs.

I've encountered people who do. Last Aram for instance. 46 to 18 at one point and they're like "no no, we got a chance". We had no turrets at 7 minutes. Just a Nexus. >.< I wish 3/2 was ok for surrender instead of 4/1 now.

2 things. short games suck. You don't get to full build, take advantage of the nature of the game. I had a game last night hour long. Loved it. It was tense. Kept going back and fourth and either team could of won. I stole baron with karthius. The team work was there everything. That's a game. A wooping good or bad isn't fair and doesn't justify if your really that good with your champ or not.

Decided in the first 5-10 minutes? I beg to differ, I've definitely had games like that, but a majority of my game are stretching into the 35-40 minute range. Am I the only one who experiences this?

Yes and most times you can tell if you as a team have a shot to win just by the lobby picks. But mostly 35-40 min mark. Depends on the team.

I had a kassadin adc, yeah - talk about trolling. He died immediately and came back to lane and died again even after I suggested he farm under turret (and that was still dangerous with the other team being Blitz/Jinx!). Anyway, with some roaming by me and some jungler attention we almost turned it around, but the snowball was too big. More time and we might've had it, but playing defensively got old for our team. I hear ya - this game is very snowbally. Still... if you can play defensively and have that better late game it's still possible (just less likely with those weak turrets).

I think this is due to the inaccuracy of the ranked ladder system. Especially in light of the new system where you can choose your roles. Games are still crazy mismatched.

I go into quite a bit of detail with some suggestions as to how I think it can be fixed in a post. I need people that give a shit to jump in and throw opinions around, and hopefully riot will pay some attention.

No doubt the jinx was skilled in this game, but my argument would be that her opposing adc/support combination was probably not a good match up- I mean, obviously. If she was 10/2 they didn't know what they were doing, even if jinx and her support had jungle help. On the other hand jungle and top and mid should've all been trying to get down there and help as well. Thats besides the point though, I still think if the game had been better matched- it would've been closer.

Fixing the Ranked Ladder System

Its long, but I've had a decent amount of good feedback so far, plus lots of people are complaining about this same issue. Its not that it happens in one game, its that it happens often. I've been on both sides of this many many many times.

To the point where I'm actually trying to do something behind it. My idea is to add an additional bonus lp component based on game performance.

Such as 1lp per kill, -2 per death, 1lp for assist. This way even if you say lose a game for -20lp, if you played well and went say 4/1/8, you would only lose 8 lp instead of the full 20. If you won, you would gain 32lp.

On the opposite end, if you play poorly, say 1/8/3, you would in a loss lose -32lp, in a win gain 8lp.

Players that do poorly would climb slower, players that play well would climb more quickly even when losing because they would take less of a hit in lp. It would bring way more satisfaction to the game, and much more balance to the ladder system. In combination with a variety of other suggestions I make in my post.

Lets try to make the game better.
