Can you bring back Tribunal already?

These days, and from what I remember when Tribunal was up, going through tribunal cases and helping serve justice would be more fun than actually playing league in today's system.

i mean lets be real. riot reworked their whole punishemend system. im 99% sure they could bring back the tribunal last season. not sure why it takes them over 2 years already. i think they just DONT WANT to bring it back.

The automated system is equally horrible. HORRIBLE. Doesn't understand context. "Fuck! That was a great play!" would be equally as flagged as "Fuck! you're a shit player!" IF someone wanted to report you for some reason.

The system is in fact designed to understand context in many cases, and will not flag 'fuck' at all. however, "fuck" combined with "you're" would contribute to a flag as "You're" means you are directing "fuck" at another person. The system is incredibly accurate, as evidenced by the fact that 0% of the chat logs posted in this forum didn't deserve a ban in some way.

So if I say "youre a toxic fuck" It flags me. If I just say "youre toxic" it does not If I say "fuck youre sick! well played sir!" It flags me If I say "That was sick as fuck! well played sir!" it does not.

If this is how it "works" Riot is stupid as shit...but we already knew they were stupid as shit given the amount of stupid OP broken ass champs in the game atm.

it will still flag you, as 'toxic' is a word it's likely to flag for (LYTE once said that the 2 most used words by people who are toxic are 'report' and 'toxic')

potentially, but who the fuck talks like that? Even as a compliment, it can come off as passive-agressive, and this by itself would not be enough to contribute to punishment. You would need additional toxic text. The system won't institute a chat ban from one line unless there's hate speech.

If I say "That was sick as fuck! well played sir!" it does not.

Because that is how people talk, and how people would sound when giving a sincere compliment.

The system is extremely smart and reliable. You don't want to believe that because that would mean your bias against RIOT is incorrect. But after examining chatlogs in this board for many moons, there's nothing wrong with the instant feedback system at all. It is tuned to give many, many chances before punishing, with the exception of severe cases such as wishing someone to die irl and hate speech. You're grasping at straws for reasons to hate a company that made a game for you to enjoy.

Given the state of champions and items right now, and riots intentional turning blind eye to broken things, I would not put much stock into the system being smart and reliable.

First off: Your language is disgusting and I hope you get what is coming for you from karma. Hate speech is the fast track to a WELL DESERVED permaban in League as well as life.

Second: You don't have first amendment rights on league. The first amendment prevents the GOVERNMENT from censoring you in a PUBLIC forum. League is the PRIVATE property of RIOT and they can censor anything they want as long as it doesn't break any laws. It's the same reason you can say what you want in your house, but if you come in mine I can kick you out whenever I want.

Thirdly: It's been made clear repeatedly that they will ban anyone who flames or who griefs/feeds, but that one is inherently easier to catch than the other (kinda like how it's easier for cops to catch and convict drug addicts than date rapists)

How do you know how the system specifically works? Post a Riot link/post/tweet/something that goes into detail. They just say "We have an automated system." No elaboration..

tribunal was never a good system, anyway. there were far more unwarranted punishments because of how bias the player base is. doubt it will ever be back, and that's a good thing.

If we're to believe both of these then it should be up really soon. But since a lot can happen in a year we may want to disregard the first one and assume that it's happening once the new champ select is fine tuned. Because of my personal disbelief in deadlines by those that have no obligation to meet them, I imagine it will be out around the end of the season.

I agree but Tribunal just banned me for 1 Lux support who went APC instead of support, trolled me, stole cs, tried to KS every chance she got and threw game, and when I called her on it team supported her instead of me, I was later reported to Tribunal from them all and when they emailed me the chat logs they left out all the juicy things the OTHER PLAYERS SAID TO ME>>> making it look like im the bad guy.

Great system ya know.. Im truly done with league now. No reason to play ranked like this.

It's not (only) the time reading through the bullshit (and laughing at the idiotic statements that flamer can make). At least for me it was the good feeling of making League a better place with banning all those idiots, while "rescueing" those who got troll-reported.

I agree with Stemw3, but honestly for me, i would mostly due it to kill time and those cases were incredibly funny, and like I said, you do feel good about yourself when you check your "Tribunal Rating" or whatever they had and it says you have helped permaban 15 toxic players or have prevented 200 days worth of fighting/toxicness

disagree on all accounts. Bots are trash, you can go 50/0 in a bot game and have NO idea how to play your champ.

Everyone sucks when they first start playing, you would be banning fakers, trick2gs, sneaky. hell Sneaky was bronze in season 2. Doublelift is recorded to have said sneaky was the worst ADC he'd ever played with. and he wasn't the only one. Sneaky went on to be voted MVP of season 4 worlds.

You can't just blanket things like that. The worst people in the game are the ones that refuse to learn, intentionally fuck up, and play toxic.

I dont care if they cuss like a drunken sailor, if you can put your actions behind your words. Play like shit, talk like shit. you should be banned.

I don't think the Tribunal is a good system at all. All it did was serve as an outlet for people who felt they had just been wronged in their game so they were going to get revenge on people by punish spamming the Tribunal. When I used to do it, I would read every case, every log and then vote. I wound up doing that for 2 weeks and had about a 70% 'accuracy' rating. Then for 2 weeks afterwards, I only spammed punish. I didn't read any logs, I didn't even look at that monitor until the timer was up and it would let me vote. After 2 weeks of blindly punish spamming, I was at a 94%.

I feel the automated system is working just fine right now in terms of detecting and punishing players.
