Glacial Augment?
Whats the point of this keystone? Who takes it?

Let me tell you a story about a juggernaut. This juggernaut met gnar toplane. Gnar had glacial argument. Every time juggernaut went to hit a minion, juggernaut took three AA to the face. This kept happening until he died. Gnar won.
Gnar had glacial argument. Gnar won.
yea... kinda hard to win an argument with someone that just yells gibberish at you constantly XD

well played. Take my upvote.
I take it on my permaslow
support with
and
. It's quite fun.
That's my favorite way to play Zilean! It doesn't even feel fair for the enemy. ;P
As a Zil main, i kinda hate myself when someone tries to flee and you just point-and-click 99% slow them, press w, and do it again.
Those poor poor fools...

They should have thought of that before they decided to let a beat into the League. >_>
Really good on
support when paired with his Q and approach velocity but apart from that.... yea not many other viable options
Tahm Kench jungle too. Q, then AA until you eat them, by the time you spit them out its off cd for them again
I use it on Nami or Karma sometimes. Being able to ensure every tether you use lands just buy AAing is pretty sick.
Use it on AD/on-hit
to help with kiting. Taking it means you don't have to spend 3K on a Frozen Mallet either.
Id be honest but Teemo has no problem with those he can Kite. He has plenty of MS to help him out. He gets fucked by those that dont care about MS at all. Like
for example.
Laughs in level 1 cheese
It doesn't even work with
I like it on Leona and ADC's that aren't Ashe. Sol can take it for a comfort pick but outside of only like one Challanger Korean Sol player everyone uses Phase Rush. So really nobody uses it. I like it, I just think it needs a bit of a numbers buff. I would say to make the cooldown lower by .25 or .5 seconds per auto. Sure you could argue that it offers a near perma a low but even if it does very few people will take it. Few people will take more utility over more damage.
Saw it on blitz not so long ago
but it sucked pretty hard.
I considered taking it on
but gave up on that.
It probably might be okay on
If slow stacking was still a thing it would be godly on bard

Allows him to easily stick to enemies to reset his cooldowns. Normally he struggles with this because people just casually walk away from him after they are out of his stun. He has 52% win rate with glacial augment.
I take it on enchanters and anyone i feel like who builds righteous glory primarily because its fun and a lot of people doubt how strong it can be at times.
I took it on teemo
tahm kench takes it its incredible on him support
I take it on Swain to have an easier laning phase, and to use Gunblade to chase down my foes later
I took it on Anivia on ARAM for the lulz
I occasionally take it on Ivern
.
I walk into lane, plop a Bush down & Hit them with a ranged auto. Gives me just enough time to land a Q, this way my allies & I can just pop right in the enemy laner's face.
It is ridiculously strong on
top.
Glacial Augment is my favorite Keystone! It's so much fun!
is the most common user, I don't know about any others.
i am using it on olaf glacial/resolve against match ups like irelia/fiora and max E first
Tahm. But basically is one of the many useless runes they still haven't fixed.
I took it on Top
so I my AA's could negate
Decisive Strike's slow cleanse and ms boost bs refreshing the slow when it was ready again. I used it on Perma Slow
with
and
and it was really fun. However the problem with this Keystone is it only slows extremly shortlycand has a weird starting high cd, but even 4s is too much in late teamfights because other 4s keystones like Grasp and Conqueror can be can be activated before teamfights and proced in them.
What I'd really like about Glacial Augment if we can give it an additional effect. When they're slowed the next attack/spell will bonus addaptive damage but instantly ends the slow on contact with incoming damage. This can make it a good kiting/chasing/trading Keystone but for that purpose of additional effect I'd decrease slow duration by 5%.
My suggestion though. Thought it'd make sense cause punches hurt more when you're frozen solid.
[slayer-jinx-wink]
Played against a Garen with it once, I was so confussed by it, he's Q in then spin on me and I wonder'd why I wasn't moving, or he's Q and run away and I was confused why I couldn't catch him, then I saw he had that rune. Been a lot time since I faced it.
Good on Nami too, helps land bubbles and you can have a slow while casting E on your ADC to get double slows.
I'll use it on Top-Lane
. Early game it helps apply slows so I can hit my Q's more, and mid/late game I use the lazer beams with GLP.
Take it on Annie with Hextech GLP, it is super strong on her.
I think Hextech GLP should just have the frost trails in the active, but still frost trails makes it really great for getting in range as Annie, great to escape as Annie being an immobile mage and her attacks slowing lets her stay in her range between slow and stun rotations.
Biscuits for more mana, magical boots for movement speed and save on 300g and 45% CDR are all super strong with her. I love spell vamp on her as well so I take Domination second for that mastery, though I wish Riot would release another spell vamp item other than Hextech Gunblade more towards traditional mages so I can get manaflow band on her and the CDR mastery.
Also Shyvana as she has no crowd control outside of her slight vacuum on her ultimate. Mordekaiser for the same reason and helps him get off his 3 Q attacks. Tahm Kench to slow them with Q and then get in range and keep them slow and then chain into his eat or stun. Trundle is pretty decent. Amumu is pretty decent with his passive and just cry them to death. Kai'Sa to help her kite and get off her passive. Vayne to help get off Silver Bolts. Etc.
There is a lot of champions that can use it well, just be more creative and experimental.
Apparently Aurelion Sol is the only champion that takes it as a core keystone because the way his kit works doesn't really allow for other possibilities in terms of keystones.
I've also experimented with it on Brand and Malzahar with the idea that you can back it up with Hextech GLP (which had health at the time) as a replacement for Rylai's Crystal Scepter for more damage (thanks to the extra AP off of GLP and its active damage compensating for a lack of a keystone), the same defenses (both had 300 health), and similar utility that came online early (weak permaslow vs. relatively stronger slows for a short duration). These builds were done on ARAM, so I can't really say how competitive they were, but I won both games and got an S- in the Malzahar game, and the build itself is pretty fun.
