How does this LP system work after promos?

I can't complete these fucking promos for god knows how many times now, and game keeps resetting my LP to 48 points. What gives? I'm stuck in bronze 1 and I didn't even win a single promo game. Is that the reason? Please someone clarify it for me. It is infuriating to grind this shit for days and then lose everything.

So after you lose promos you literally go back to 48LP? That's either a bug/glitch or you're bluffing. I'll go with option 1 where it's a bug if that's the case submit a ticket or something. That should not be a thing.

You lost 3 games in a row since you were in promos for silver (best of 5), losing 52 lp after 3 losses is perfectly normal, 52 /3 = 17.3lp lost per game. Thats normal.
