Aatrox's Current W toggled on deals physical damage equal to 200 + 100% bonus AD.

This means in order to deal 550 physical damage, you would need to have 350 bonus AD.

The cost of W at 5 ranks is 50 (+25% bonus AD) health.

25% of 350 is 87.5 health.

50 + 87.5 = 137.5

The healing effect of Death's Dance is 15% of physical damage dealt.

15% of 550 is 82.5 health

You are still losing 55 health.

There are probably mastery factors involved in there.

Basically, you are still cutting into your health return due to the health cost of the ability.

As I said earlier 550 damage only gives you 82.5 health. The base health cost of the ability at rank 5 is 50 health. If you have any MORE than 130 bonus AD, you are cutting into your health return. .. but .. you wouldn't be dealing 550 physical damage if you had less than 130 bonus AD so, ..

The ability is designed to cost you health to use. Basically no matter how you go about it, you are probably not going to out heal the cost.

item 3812 item 3065 item 3107 item 3146 would probably be the best chance to reduce the draining. Of course, that's not really a good build otherwise.

Yeah, that is kinda what I was thinking. I just don't see it being a reasonable goal.

Just accept the "damage" and consider these sources of sustain as a means of reducing the cost instead of trying to negate it completely.

While true, that kinda makes him laughable as a "drain tank" when he's just draining himself instead.

Side note: Masteries of Runic Blessing and Windspeakers, and Elixir's heal on physical damage.

If you are correct about having only 260 bonus AD and dealing 550 damage,

Then we assume that you have Windspeaker's Blessing, Runic Armor, and Spirit Visage, .. you might be able to out heal the health cost.

However, I am still fairly sure that a part of why you were able to reach 550 damage with only 260 bonus AD is a result of having some points in the Ferocity tree, which you would not be able to do with both Windspeaker's and Runic Armor.

Idk, .. I'll have to jump into the practice tool and play around with this idea.
