How to fix toxicity

The root of the problem is the fact that when a player gets upset, they have no choice but to stay in the game or they will be penalized and be forced to wait 20 minutes for another game. This just causes the player to get more and more upset, more words and slurs to be spewed and then suddenly everyone is involved including the other team. "Oh you are going to report me? Oh ok so I am going to feed since I am going to get banned anyways" Dota 2 has already fixed this issue and it's called low priority que. If you have reached the point where you are livid, leave the game and start fresh or better yet take a break before you actually reach the point where you are visibly upset and yelling at your monitor ( I experience this daily ) Someone goes afk? Ok if they don't reconnect within 5 minutes everyone can safely leave without being punished and feeling like no matter how well they perform, they are fighting a losing fight. Adding simple features like this don't make league lose it's identity. LoL will always be LoL and Dota will be Dota.

Or just put your big boy pants on and be nice regardless of what someone else says; try being an Adult, it's OP.

You are forgetting that there is a lot of children and teenagers that play league and they are welcome to. Toxicity goes beyond words, sometimes people feed, troll pick, steal buffs and as mentioned above, go afk. Regardless of how YOU behave there is always someone else being toxic but that doesn't mean every single game is going to be like that. Just keep fishing until you find the right group. Someone once taught me something that applies to driving. The reason why driving is unsafe is not because of how you drive, but how the person next to you is driving. Even the most responsible people get into accidents.
