Leauge had damage triangle untill true damage came along, Riot should admit they cant balance it.

remember how in old rpg games there was this formula.

Axe beats Spear Spear beats sword Sword beats Axe

well League of legends had the same thing, AD-armor, AP-mr, hp-%hp damage.

what do you do with true damage? build more hp ofc, problem is that every single champion who has true damage also builds BOTRK, which is the strongest and most efficient item to deal with hp.

you see where im going with this?, how is Riot going to balance this I wonder, because Irelia had the same problem vayne is hated for, now more and more champions get this "can't be balanced" true damage.

I don't understand why Riot is doing this before they found a way to balance true damage, they should either add a prime defense that is made sole to counter true damage (the item should have other stuff as well, because no item just gives a single status boost), or they should remove it. since there is no chance it will be removed, where is the logic in adding it even more into the game?

when I have a problem I try to fix it, I don't make it bigger intentionally, I would love for a rioter staff member to comment on this. because something here just does not make sense. true damage is not op, it's broken, it does not mean that irelia/vayne/garen/fiora are broken, it just means that it is not fair, and last I checked Riot was all about fair and fun to play.

Ad, ap and true damage all lived together in harmony, than everything changed when the % hp true damage attacked

True damage is necessary, otherwise certain champions that can stack both armor and MR to great values would be indestructible.

%hp damage alone doesn't counter such builds, as the actual damage done is still einer phys or mag. and thus reduced by armor/MR

True damage can easily be balanced by adding requirements to proc it like vayne's silverbolts

It's adding the % max hp damage that makes it a little harder to balance

IE, Void staff and LW are waaaay too cheap for the stats they give. Also MR is useless unless you are vs full AP team and you can stack all avaliable MR items + Locket.

  1. You're describing fire emblem, and even in fire emblem there are weapons and classes that break the rules.

  2. True damage is intended to be counterplayed not counterbuilt.
