Top lane is already miserable, it doesn't have to ugly

I'm going back to top lane because playing the most hated support makes me feel guilty and also why are forum stickers not updated yet

sorry to say but just get good, there is a lot of ways to beat darius. dodge his sweet spot on his q, disengage before he gets 5 stacks. take short trades with him. he really isnt that op.

All Champions can kill you under tower

Garens ult does have ramp up. Its called doing 60% of your HP in damage.

Realistically harder than Darius' ramp-up in most cases.

He is one of 20 champions out of 145 champions with absolute zero mobility. Out of those 20, he is one of 4 melee champs. You get close, you die. He’s a very strong laner cuz ur going have to cs somehow meaning getting close to him

I used to be a darius main and champions like gnar or ranged champs can screw dar pretty badly to be honest he's not broken he's just a good pick against tanky teams and doesn't get autopicked everytime.

The only reason that they aren't nerfing him, is his late game where he kinda falls off. In a fight, to utilize his ultimate, he needs about 4 seconds which at season 9, is a entire teamfight duration. Other than that, he is a solid lane pick which is one of the best low elo stompers and stays there because at higher elo you get Riven, Irelia and Aatrox which all heavily counter him and he becomes a not so reliable pick. And if you can't play these champions, there are even tanks that can counter him with some tryharding. I myself have found to beat Darius with Sion and Malphite, especially if I get some help from the jungler. There are many ways you can beat him but you are right, he does not need any more buffs but I am not so sure he needs nerfs either

Because he's not very good.
Yeah maybe if you're half health to begin with. Darius isn't a great towerdiver, so if he's diving you there are a ton of champions who would be able to do it easier.
It's physical damage, doesn't reveal, doesn't reduce healing, and can't be applied instantly.
It's a flat heal, not lifesteal. Can't even be used for regular sustain.
Because Darius is a lane bully. That's his job.
Because Garen has a subterrainean skill floor, and honestly Garen's looking pretty good right now in comparison.
Because that's literally his job.
Because Pantheon takes patience and mana management.
Because they aren't referring to top laners when they say "just kite him lol". Better advice for them would be "don't all-in him if he's gonna be able to stack his passive before he dies".

Darius' role in teamfights is to mop up. Garen's role in teamfights is to gun for one guy and fuck him up. Notice that Garen has two forms of CC resist, a speed boost, isolation damage, and a silence, while Darius is all about multi-target damage.

Learn Darius's kit and he becomes easy af to beat in the laning phase.

Or just follow these steps -

Pick someone like Jax, Renekton, or Fiora.
Jump inside his Q everytime he tries to heal off it.
Hit him with your CC and walk away as his sluggish ass tries to get back in pull range.

Darius sucks at turret diving, is a joke of a juggernaut coz he has no tankiness, and is next to useless outside the laning phase.

As someone who plays Fiora, Jax, and Renekton, I find Darius to be skill matchup against me at best. Of course if you play slow ass shit such as Urgot, Nasus, or a tank such as Sion you may have a difficult time against him but you're still going to be more useful than him outside the laning phase by playing those.

ITT: We pretend Darius is balanced and ignore that he's the most picked and banned top laner, along with Aatrox but with significantly higher win rate, at Diamond+.

'Just kite him' isn't valid. If you're playing a champion who has the ability to kite him, he'll run Ghost and kill you every time it's up. All possible counterplay is completely removed when he Ghosts, pushing you to a gradual loss where you have to hope that your team can either carry you or hold out the game until he falls off (which is incredibly rare).

Even beyond laning, he's virtually impossible to kite if he has any form of hard engage on his team and he wasn't shut down early. With Cleaver + Deadman's Plate/Righteous Glory + Ghost, he can just flank and barrel into your team at 600+ MS, and short of permanent CC (some of which you likely used to counter the hard engage), you can't really stop him.

Falling off is no longer a valid weakness, with the majority of games being 'over' at 2-3 items.

Darius is virtually useless against Quinn , who can bully him better, and even if he catches her, she can still easily keep her distance. Darius basically loses to everyone who is a better lane bully than he is or a better juggernaut. Also reminder that he is a juggernaut, meaning that once he gets into your face, he is going to deal a lot of damage, because that's what juggernauts were supposed to do.
