What do you think of Devourer's replacement, Bloodrazor?

Shyvana is one of my mains (though I mostly play supp these days) and I'm actually excited for the change. Sated worked really well with Shyvana's kit, but it was unhealthy and created a great deal of tension in each game for me (there are two junglers, one is dominant, if you're dominant you stack it, if you've fallen behind after you've bought it you might never stack it). I feel like the game will be a better place without that tension (and the squishier Devourer junglers often ignoring their teams to stack, something that annoys me to no end when I'm not jungling).

What are your thoughts on the item?

Easier to itemize against as it deal Physical damage and is mostly built on Physical damage dealer champs like Xin, Yi...

Although true... I see a lot of percent health on hit builds in the future. For example:

Shen where his q does percent health for three strike and adds attack speed. add three percent, now add max health on hit from titanic hydra.

its funny playing as, not against. [zombie-nunu-tears]

I'm pretty sure his q scales with his own health.

His shadow dash does. His q scales with ap however with the right mastery you can increase it by one percent.

But regardless that is something like: 7+1% of max health on hit + 10% of max health + 6%(inactive) of your max health 40+10% (active) So in one hit provided the item is active....

Shen will hit someone 40+28% of their health in one hit. now he stacks that three times........ so 120+84% of their health.

and I thought sated shen was broken....

Granted he has a very weak early game, however the moment he hits some of those power spikes he is just about unstoppable. [slayer-jinx-catface]

MAGIC DAMAGE: 3 / 3.5 / 4 / 4.5 / 5% (+ 1.5% per 100 AP) of target's max. health

Never mind then. Woah.

True, Xin and Yi are gonna need more ArPen in their builds now.

But I see no problem with some more Phys dmg on Shyvana, who deals a lot more Magic dmg (I remember last season I dealt 1/3 Phys and 2/3 Magic on Shyv). Or on Jax, who deals about 50/50 (I think, never played Jax).

Maybe it'll also benefit Kayle? Not sure about her state after Sated gets removed.

Last time I've felt Kayle has been viable into the jungle was in Season 4. Every season she gets worse. It's not really Kayle being Kayle, rather junglers going way beyond her cappabilities as a jungler while the game evolved.

I think nerfing Yi this patch was unnecessary with the removal of Devourer.

Still, I guess the move now is to go for BoRK after Bloodrazor?

I think Yi might need some ArPen, since the new item is Phys dmg. So something else before BotRK.

I always felt like the way to go for Yi should have been Cleaver+Youmus. With Bloodrazor dealing MAX HP and Physical damage, I'm really looking forward to this.

Looks pretty underwhelming to me.

I wonder what that will mean for AA junglers over all. Given that this will shift their power to being Earlier in the game. I do feel like certain champions who did rely on the phantom hit passive, (or just abused it) will start seeing top lane play, as it's no longer bound to a jungle item.

A some what unrelated question. If the AA item isn't going to be the massive late game item it use to be, can Cinderhulk have it's hypertank scaling back? (given that Razor gives them more HP shred)

Well, they appear to have increased Cinderhulk's burn aura to +2 dmg per level (instead of +0.5 dmg, I believe) and halved its base damage on PBE. So, you get better scaling, but not the one you were hoping for.

Giving Cinderhulk its HP scaling back could actually make for an interesting twist, imo.

It would mean that a top-lane tank who gets gold early would be stronger in the mid-game than a jungle tank. In exchange, the jungle tank gets the better late-game.
