Weird thing about Hecarim

Why does Hecarim have a damage reduction against monsters when using his Rampage (Q)? Like, as far as I know only Garen has something like that on his E. Hecarim's a jungler and while, in my experience, he's not bad, little things like that hinder him.

A farm jungler who has restrictions on his farming, like, why?

He was released in Season 2 when the jungle was super easy to clear. They had to stop him from potentially becoming Shyvana with CC.

I think they should evaluate it again now. It might be good to have it at 100%.

Because over time Riot has continuously nerfed Hecarim so much that the phrase 'beating a dead horse' literally fucking applies here.

To keep him from clearing the jungle so fast you hardly realize he's there until he's ganking mid and a level ahead. Truthfully though, with the jungle changes, I think there's reason to lighten or remove the limits on his abilities where jungle monsters are concerned.

Tbh, there are a lot of things wrong with hecarim atm. It's not because he's bad, its because there are so many better picks.

Best example is Rek which is a hecarim that's better in almost every aspect.

I thought about making a thread about this same subject. It's like they WANT Hecarim to be bad in the new jungle... smh

A small damage reduction (80%) wouldn't be bad, but having your damage taken down by a third? Uhh, no.

The same reason he has that awkward Rampage stacking thing.

Maybe they don't want him to be a jungler and so gave him the Alistar treatment (stick to support or else!).

I think the worst part of this is just the tooltip: reduced damage against minions and monsters sounds bad, but 50% increased damage against champions sounds really nice, even if there's zero difference in the actual numbers. While Hec may just as well deal full damage to jungle monsters now, just a switch in the tooltip would make his Q feel better.

riot hates tank

It is irritating, wish they would revert as the original reason for why they did that no longer applies here in this season.

It makes his clear quite slow, especially early on, with the low damage from rank 1 rampage.
