What happened to key shards?

Was there a decrease of the drop rate after games or something? Do you just not get key shards from ARAM now?

You get key shards after every game randomly whether you win or lose, so long as you own the champion you were playing, yeah? How come I've gone the past, I don't even know how many game now without getting one? D: It's been days I'm pretty sure since my last one honestly?

So yeah, was there is a decrease on them or something? '.' Or am I just super unlucky? [zombie-nunu-tears]

With every key fragment you get, the chance of getting another one gets increasingly smaller.

There is a reset point for this every month, but I don't know when it is.

Resets roughly 30 days from when you first got a key fragment. So it varies from player to player.

The key drop rate goes down the more in a month you get. That being said... My first key fragment this month took 11 games. My second one took 23 games. I'm now on win 6 on my way to key 3. I made a ticket and they just said 'yep... nothing guaranteed. It's a curve not linear so it starts out low so casual players don't feel like it's a farm fest'... and I'm just thinking... how is more than 40 games and I haven't even earned enough to open a chest this month NOT a farm fest? They just keep pasting that same stuff tho "It's a curve... not linear. It's a drop chance that resets."

Chests drop from wins or losses, based on post-game grade. Key fragments randomly drop only from wins, not losses. The requirement to own the champ is also apparently a bug.

My personal drop rate does seem lower since last month. I'm tracking by calendar month rather than by resets, but first two months were 40-50 wins for 12 fragments. Last month was 75 wins for 11 fragments, and I've only gotten 4 fragments after 31 wins this month.
