Where's the problem ?
Super minions are a way to press an advantage and close a game, they are meant to make a difference; if they weren't strong enough, they'd just get cleared by the defending team with no effort and would make no actual difference. Also you only get them after you went trough all lanes turrets and inhib turret and took said inhib. The moment they come in the game is already towards the end. Without powerful minions such as these, a losing team could simply ignore
Moreover super minions only spawn after an inhibitor, which is likely to be near the end of the game. Turrets are meant to fall, that's the point of the game. The only real problem is about when they should fall.
I think you are mistaken as to what role the turret holds. It's there so that, in an even fight (1v1) you have a space where you're at an advantage. If your opponent is fed ... well he's fed. You gave him an advantage. It's only normal he can press it.
If you truly are even, neither you nor your opponent can manage to kill each other, then the turret makes the difference early on.
Also I haven't heard any complain about that at a decent elo (meaning dia+). I think it's mostly a problem lower-elo faces because they expect things from the game which simply aren't how it happens. Turrets are meant to let you be dived 2v1 at 10 mins and they are also meant to fall to deal very little damage to a 5-items tank. If it weren't the case, games would simply last far too long. They are not meant to be an heavenly safe place, which would be very detrimental to the health of the game.
