Tip? Just dont play x champ because they are bad

This is what I am told by every laner I face that beats me, and that I ask for advice.

"Don't play Wukong, he is bad."

When I complain at how badly Wukong can be bullied in lane...

"What did you think would happen playing Wukong into [insert 90% of champs played top]"

I have maintained a high win rate this season so far playing Wukong, but I am getting burnt out. Lane is simply unfair with this champion. Having no sustain, no passive, and no damage early game is just sad. It only takes a half-baked decent player to wreck Wukong. I'm not saying buff Wukong, I am saying that it is sad that the communities answer for me is 'stop playing the champion you have always loved playing'. The worst part is that they are probably right. I'd climb so much more, and would get shit on so much less in lane if I cared to play meta, early game champs, or lane bullies.

Ouch, I know what you mean. That feeling when your favorite champs gets nerfed hard, not because they were actually nerfed but everything else was buffed to be better at everything. Gnar [sg-soraka]

I mean... Gnar was directly nerfed cause he was f*cking ennuyous in high elo and was perma picked in competitive (gnar vs x isnt fun to watch).

Sorry but I find it hard to feel sympathy for any champs that get to use item 3147 with Electrocute.

Any champion can select the Electrocute rune and purchase Duskblade.

Also, if you hate Duskblade and electrocute, don't use a post that has nothing to do with it to rag on it.

Yes, anyone can use the rune and buy that item. That can be said for all items. Hell any champ can build a Zekes but you're not going to see a Ashe actually build it unless they have brain damage. Duskblade is most effective on champions who are AD and can go invis.

Now with that said it seems your comprehension is bad so I see I have to explain it to you. The person posting is talking about WuKong. Duskblade is a core item for Wu..as well as Zed and Talon. So maybe you need to re-read my comment. I was not ragging on Duskblade. Between Duskblade and Electrocute he is getting a free 60 - 330 damage just for going invis for a split second. If he is playing that champ mid and still getting shyt on then its not the champion its him. He is just getting outplayed or picking it into the wrong matchups.

I played a lot of wukong s8 and pre season 9, and know what? I skipped caring about early and mid game and made a whole late game rune page and build. So basically, I went conquerer, and for secondary gathering storm was a must, and for stat shards, pick whatever you want. Ingame, I basically mix and matched items to make him a teamfight hurricane. A gargoyles stoneplate for living. One of the tiamat items depending on how much tank or damage we need. one youmuus for speed. one deadmans if more speed is needed. Basically, I built depending on what was needed, while making him into a bruiser, and since I had conquerer, not too much damage was needed lategame, as long as I had the time to do damage, and with gathering storm kicking in nicely after 30 mins, it went really well. I could make a guide if you want.

I don't need a guide. I have played Wukong for years. Not to be rude, but it's different playing Wukong into bronze players vs gold+ players. I had an 80% win rate as I climbed from Iron 3 to Silver 4. Playing nothing but Wukong. I appreciate it though.

its okay... but it dosnt change Wukong problems.

A gargoyles stoneplate for living.

Its trash. It decrease Wukong damages, Wukong has no utility beside a knockup.

You would do better with a real champion... mainly if you build him tanky.

hey? Lame ass over here, why is stoneplate considered so bad? doesn't it kinda stack with wukong passive? 80 MR and Armor at point of engage WITHOUT pressing it is still rather defensive, you lose damage only when using the ability. I can understand if you want to go pure assassin, but if a game goes on long enough, and there's not too much need for more damage, wouldn't be better to not have the possibility of being popped moments after using your engage? Or is this more along the lines of just having a GA, and just spamming w to get away scotch free instead of remaining in a fight a few moments longer for something like Black cleaver to shred or continuously hold focus?

yeah it stack with Wukong passive... but just considere Wukong as a passiveless champion.

Wukong has no cc beside his ult. His only utility is to bring damage. If you go bruiserish the best way is to use damage + hp/resistance items (such BC, Sterak, GA, maw). Like the best Wukong EU

To be fair I think they over buffed his Q initially. I think he deserved a nerf. But his Q, E, items, and runes got nerfed.

I wish they'd just give him some form of sustain, or increased his health regeneration and health regeneration per level. Those stats, and his mana are so poor. I think it'd be a good QoL thing.

The q wasnt overbuffed. in high elo Wukong wasnt even close of a good pick. Duskblade & Storm were the issue... in low elo. Stormrazor wasnt even played in high elo.

When played by Caps, he didnt even carried so much, Broxah and Hyllisang carried the games.

Wukong sucks, so yeah, there no other response than "play a real champ". But you can reach plat easly with him.
