So... AP kog
Is surprisingly strong but I honestly feel that AP kog kind of defeats the purpose of kog, not that he's supposed to be an AD champion but because it covers his weaknesses far too well.
You have FAR less mana problems if you go AP, arguably, AD kog could get a tear and a manamune but given the fact that kog seems to be too squishy to deal sustained damage, manamune apparently sets you back far too much? on the other hand, a seraph's will increase ALL your damage across the board, solves your mana problems and gives you a nice shield...
You also deal a TON of frontload damage, getting close to kog becomes seriously dangerous, not to mention that his slow is fairly good as well. A Luden's will turn you into a Xerath kind of champion, E becomes a crazy nuke that goes through minions and is quite wide, so in the end, getting close to kog is dangerous and staying far from him is also dangerous ._. the only way is to CC him to death or to stack movement speed so that you have a chance to avoid his stuff.
I think it's nice that Kog completes the mage-adc spectrum alongside his adc-mid partners
, kog being fully viable as AP and not at all as AD... his win rate kind of reflects that, probably sad for a lot of people who loved playing him as an adc in bot, I feel you, that happened to me with Corki but mid is not such a bad secondary role pick :P
