Caitlyn advice

I really need some advice from current Caitlyn players. I used to main her, but have been struggling with her kit changes. What is your build order now? Do you still play aggressively by constantly poking in lane? I always feel like I get out-traded by pretty much anyone. What are your best/worst matchups? Do you feel like you rely on your support more than before?

I dont feel like that at all I usually poke from time to time unless enemy support is soraka then I just farm. Usually when enemy laner is in range I go for AA>E>Q>AA takes a great chunk of hp. Also abuse the traps they r great.

Build order I usually try to get my item 1038 first back. When I have it I usually go for AS on my 2nd b either item 3086 or item 1043 after that I usually finish my item 3031 or item 3085. I personally pick runaans over item 3094 I like how ur headshot stacks with the runaans passive and gives ur headshot every 2 autos if u hit 3 targets. After that ill go either item 3072 item 3139 or item 3036 its all situational tbh.

I hope I gave u a better idea of caitlyn atm. Peace*[slayer-jinx-catface]*

I still play really aggressively in lane as the new Cait. Her ability to chain headshots gives her the potential for some burst that people don't expect.

Skill order I've actually been doing R > Q > W > E lately and having a lot of success. The damage ramp up on the headshots for the traps is pretty amazing midgame and I rarely miss the slightly lower net cooldown if I'm playing properly.

Build order is generally IE / Zerkers / Rapidfire or Runanns if the enemy team is melee heavy / BT or Mercurial is absolutely needed for the game. Last two slots are your choice depending on game situation. I find myself with a second crit / attack speed item and either GA or BT if I didn't buy it before.

The only matchup I still don't care for is Draven. His trades are nasty and any mistake can just end in death. I'm pretty confident playing Cait into basically anything though. I think the key is trying to learn how to get cute with headshot chains. Trading is the same as before, bop them when they are going to auto a creep.

Keystone is a toss-up for me. I like TLD against weak laners I think I can snowball off of. Warlord's is just decent overall. Fervor I've been toying with and I like it. It works really well if you're very aggressive and you can keep the stacks up.

Sorry for wall of text, can't figure out item icons on mobile. :(

I just started playing more Caitlyn since her changes; she's my favorite ADC right now

What is your build order now?

item 3031 item 3094 are first buys; but I'll buy components depending on my needs. For example if I really need some attack speed, I'll get a dagger/zeal/shard thing before finishing IE, but the focus is getting IE done ASAP. I might also get T2 boots before finishing RFC. From there, it's sort of situational; I'll try to get my lifesteal/second damage item, usually Bloodthirster, but if they have some CC/Zed that I'm really trying to avoid, I'll go QSS into Mercurial Scimatar. I usually go with a second attack speed item, again depending on needs (I like Runaan's for the extra headshot procs, but SS is really good for burst. Both give good waveclear, though SS is a bit safer waveclear imo). Then I finish with either a defensive item or a Last Whisper item, depending. I might get Last Whisper earlier if their tanks are really huge.

Do you still play aggressively by constantly poking in lane?

Yep; abuse the crap out of the brush. You get so many headshot procs off that way. Use traps to zone enemies and cover your tracks, and always follow up on the headshot if you're safe to do so (which you usually are; the range is huge).

I always feel like I get out-traded by pretty much anyone. What are your best/worst matchups?

In general, you need to abuse your range advantage. Caitlyn's pretty balanced all around; she has a bit of a dip in mid-game compared to other ADCs, and you need to keep that in mind. In general, playing Caitlyn is more about gaining tiny advantages over and over again, rather than going ham and killing everyone. I think Caitlyn has pretty even matchups all around; you just have to play better than they do, and you'll be fine. Some champs are annoying, but I don't think she really has a hard counter or anything.

Do you feel like you rely on your support more than before?

Honestly, less than before. Caitlyn can exert a ton of pressure by herself, especially from the brush. Just be mindful of your positioning.

Best advice: don't play her shes garbage, just pick Ezreal or lucian.
