"We want a hard MMR reset, we don't care about the matches being unbalanced for a while"
We accidentally get one.
"Matchmaking is so broken right now, please fix it"

Its funny, now that i've adapted im actually really enjoying the game.
Matches with silver junglers, diamond mid laners, gold adcs and plat supports are never uneventful, and no two games feel the same anymore.
It's not a hard reset though. It's broken and bugged. Some people went 5-5 and placed high plat.

hhmmm, gold 3 against 700+ lp challengers
seems fair?
The thing is I am a bit mad that they did the reset now (when we want to gauge the power levels of champs)
Having flex and normal as the only options kinda of means you have no real way to test how Meta a build/champ is because you have diamonds and bronzes in the same game.
Im not sure what people thought hard mmr reset meant...
I don't think most people understand what happened.
Flex Queue is completely fresh as far as data is concerned. EVERYBODY starts with the same MMR, because nobody ever played this queue.
It's going to be a whole different thing when solo/duo queue will be turned on, because it inherited Dynamic Queue's MMR.
It was either that or DQ-boosted tools getting Gold in two queues at once for free.
This is so dumb I can't even play enjoyable games anymore. I just want to play with people at my skill level T_T
lol
Some challenger guy went 10-0 in placements and got placed BRONZE V.
So... I guess something is indeed broken.
This totally sucks because every game is just one team getting annihilated... The teams are almost never even in MMR. If it was a wide range but kept the teams the same MMR then fine. And i personally dont mind play against high plat mid laners, but every game is feast or famine. And the famine games are awful. Super anti fun for your entire team to feed and you just wait for the 20 min mark in hopes that youre teammates will surrender because the rest of your team is bronze and silver and the D5 Diana who's 15/0 is just roflstomping everyone. My friend just did his promos and because the last 7 games were tilted in the enemies favor he got placed in bronze 4 lol. I really hope this is very temperary*[zombie-brand-facepalm]*
Just played a normal game. I'm gold 4 and I got paired with 3 plats and a level 27.
The level 27 fed to hell because obviously newer player. But how he fuck did we get this one? Jesus.
The plats also played like shit. I get that its a normal game but really? The fun goes to shit when it's 4v5.
who is we, who wanted this?
So yeah, I just finished my 10 placements in FLEX after finishing as silver 3 in season 6 and got placed in bronze 4. Every placement game had a ridiculously unbalanced mmr similar to 1 diamond, 2 plats, 1 gold, 1 silver on the enemy team; with maybe 1 plat on my team if I got lucky, 2 gold, 2 silver, and a bronze. I don't mind playing against higher tiers because I've been holding my own rather well, what's irritating is I lose games that are heavily unbalanced and then get punished for it. I've been placed in bronze the last 3 seasons and worked my way out, so when will I get placed AT LEAST back into silver??
LOL so true. The hard reset has been a straight up clusterfuck. On my alt acct had everything from Diamond 3 to bronze 5 with a huge mix & match in the team. Had some straight up uncarryable teammates who would go straight AP Aatrox and auto feed, those who chase all the way to the enemy fountain and actually die to fountain etc. Went 5-5 with nothing less than an A rated performance and got put into bronze 3.
Back in season 2 when i went 1-9 and got placed in Silver 5.....
Most people that said it were joking. Like "Yeah we should totally just get a hard reset and put bronze and challenger in bronze". No one wanted that obviously.
It would be nice to reset the damage done by DQ. As it stands, there will be bronze players in gold/silver for the next couple years at least.
