@Riot: Nautilus gets his ult refunded if it doesn't hit due to untargettability

Can we take this away? His ult being targeted and chasing you demands that at least SOME counterplay be there if you can do it.

I don't think this is true. If he ults someone and before the ults goes off the target dies or goes untargetable it gets refunded, but if he gets his ult off and for example is chasing fizz that uses E, the cd isn't refunded. This is the case for every ability targeted ability since i guess it would prevent cases where your ult doesn't go off but it goes on cooldown. It's valid for syndras ult, lee sin ult, zed ult etc.

You can actually cause this to happen with Fiora, if you riposte the naut ult when he casts it right in front of you, sometimes the ult resets for no reason

It resets if you go die, go untargetable or break vision, or die before Naut finishes casting animation because the ability was not actually cast. Most targetable spells do that.

I might wrong, but I'm pretty convinced it won't get refunded if Naut loses his target after the wave actually appeared.

pretty much like cailtlyn get her ult reset if the target die before the shoot, but not if the bullet is mid travel

It isn't a feature, it's a bug, to be honest. Specially because it happens sometimes and sometimes your ultimate just goes poof.

It's weird, but the main breakpoint is if he finished casting it. If the charges are already following you, there's no way he's gonna get a refund, if something happens when he's in the process to cast it, it's a toss up.

Lol I made a post about how BS his ult was and got hate for it. Apparently this community likes point and click attacks that take 0 skill to pull off but really fuck the opponent.

To any comment below about details, it's still bullshit. I remember being top lane and dodging his ult somehow ( can't rememberthe champion), then, 2 seconds later, assuming he doesn't have it, I move in to 1v2, and he ults me again. LOL

Edit: I was playing Maokai. I used my W to dodge his ult, while the ult was popping off the ground before reaching me.
