Why Yasuo Shouldn't Be Reworked

It sets a bad pretense for when ever a champion that is hated by the community to be reworked. I shouldn't have to explain why this is bad but it basically boils down to it won't end with Yasuo. LeeSin is hated almost as much and we all remember how the boards reacted to Riven being disabled for a week back when Recall was bugged. The problem is that there will always be a most hated champion and with ten bans they're going to be banned out most of the time. Reworking has the potential to destroy the reason why people play that champion and not solve the issue.

Most champs dont get mass calls for reworks just nerfs when considered OP, lee has a loaded kit but its not overbearing nor is it badly designed, in yasuos case its both, the case for riven is a toss up but i think shes ok, the main complaint with her being her mobility, which happens to be her niche.

I dont think lee over the course of his league career or even in the present has seen even half the hate yasuo has.

So no it doesnt set a precedent, especiallyconsidering champs with much less cancerous kits have already been reworked for the very reason you state, with considerably less community outcry, so if anything its already been set, and following through with the most extreme example isnt likely to make it worse or accelerate the rate at which these reworks happen.

Well they already set that i suppose Malzahar

Slightly above average win rate, pretty low play rate, basically never ban, causing no problems from the numbers. But based on the feedback, you'd think he was the most hated champion in the game.

If a champion generates the level of enduring hatred that yasuo has, they probably deserve a nerf or some form of rework.

Plus, it's rather silly to let him keep getting banned so often that he barely qualifies as a playable champion, rather than fixing his kit.

will not getting rid of the cancer get rid of the 90% banrate?

The only real issue with Yasuo is his crit passive. Remove that then compensate properly and hed be a lot easier to balance and keep in check.

Riot only has two options. Rework him or nerf him more.

Idk man champs are hated for good reasons, usually the number 1 being they annoy the hell out of you. I personally don't hate yasuo because every champ I play destroys him almost as bad as Starfall Soraka. But I am upset that the Yasuo mains bitched and complained so much about old soraka fucking him up that they removed the star fall mechanic from the game. They thought SHE was annoying and she got a rework. She was NOT op, people REFUSED to counter build against her.

Just like Old Soraka, Yasuo is annoying as hell and the best parts about his kit, his W and E will probably be changed alot, I hope for your guyssake that they don't completely remove the dash mechanic and the windwall like they removed Soraka's Star fall.

Next we need to band together and turn Shaco into a low mobility tank. Or a low damage support like Raka...

Well Riot doesn't really have any other options do they? Yasuo is widely considered to be balanced and still manages to rack up an enormous banrate. And people aren't going to stop banning him until something changes. Either Riot nerfs Yasuo into unviability or rework him. Otherwise Yasuo players won't even be able to play him. At least with a rework Yasuo might be meta without being permabanned.
