Really glad to see Riot focusing more on keyboard crusaders than those who silently ruin the game far more than any verbal harasser ever could.

Please up your game when it comes to AFKs.

I've said it a thousand times, I'll say it again. Riot should really adopt Dota 2's idea when it comes to afk's. Incase you didn't know, they have 5 mins to reconnect, and if they don't , the rest of the players are allowed to disconnect with no penalty. Of course they can also keep playing if they'd like, but if the team's get too unbalanced the game automatically stops. It's one of my favorite features of the game. I can deal with 5 mins and then leaving. I can't deal with hoping for an ff every 3 mins only for trolls to press no for the next half hour ;_;

I love this idea. Does it also extends to leaving games when you have that one guy that cant stop feeding ?

Sadly no, but they're pretty ontop of stuff like that, so you don't see feeding too often, but that shouldn't be confused with someone getting ahead. There is a difference between someone just inting and someone falling behind to the point where the enemy will camp them.

At least you didn't have a Tristana run it down mid telling people to kill themselves because her Jhin and Vayne got banned. I banned the Vayne, enemy team banned the Jhin. Person didn't click a champion they wanted to play and didn't say anything in chat. People need to speak up when they want a champion instead of crying AFTER the ban phase.

If I can be allowed to play the devil's advocate here, and acknowledging that I hate intentional AFKs as much as the next player, I don't think AFKs are as much a community problem as a technical problem for individuals.

On the rare occasion that I've gone unexpectedly AFK myself (maybe five or six times in two years of playing?) it has always been because my internet provider decided to randomly screw me over by dropping service for up to an hour at a time. With a house full of gamers we are using the best internet available in our area, and it still does this from time to time.

Similarly, in games where someone else goes AFK, they usually end up re-joining if the game lasts long enough. Blue screens, internet hiccups, and client crashes all happen to the best of us, and getting a major penalty against you after you're thrown out of a game you probably queued for twenty minutes just to get into is just adding insult to injury.

Sure, if someone rages out and then disappears, report them and get them banned - that's not cool. And it definitely sucks if you get several AFKs in a row, accidental or otherwise... but punishing folks for things beyond their control won't fix the problem.

yeah, riot puts too much stress on fighting "toxicity" inastead of those who throw games disconnects are punished extremily lightly comparing to posting some harmless slurs

but then, their servers, at least on euw, have problems for weeks already, i literally had a whole game disappearing yesterday where everybody dced, so the game wasn't even recorded to the match history and brought no rewards for forty minutes of playing. people dcing every minute are so common you barely pay attention to it

obviously they claim their servers are ok and stuff
