Uhm, just read the patch notes? Azir is a long ranged mobile hyper carry with a powerful disengage. MR doesn't do any more against him than it does to any other mage. He buys a void staff and gives no shits.

The nerf made him an even more difficult champion than he already is. You have to rely on your q even more now that only 1 soldier will do the damage. you could have changed something else, like nerf his health or make his q a little weaker but still allow all the soldiers to do the damage whe you activate his q.
