Zed is fine

Although i have started this game quiet recently (2 1/2 months ago) i started to play zed and get quite good with him. I have been through the whole ult nerf deal, which had zed mains crying through cyberspace, but to be honest he is fine now. He has decent counter play and since the whole meta is changing to becoming a more dmg heavy then hp heavy, plus the blade of the ruined king and Yomus Ghostbalde on him make him a tank and squishy shreder . Although i wouldn't mind the whole .5 sec buff that i think they are adding. I just don't understand why people and pros calling him up. If someone could shed some light on this whole ordeal that zed is bad to share their opinion to me, since alas i am a noob :). And a side note i am in no way trying to add changes to the champion as i have NO IDEA how it will effect the pros or other elo's.

-No resources -% health damage passive -Spammable high damage abilities -Low CD untargetable ult -Extremely safe laning -High mobility -Essentially gets an AD version of Rabbadon's as a passive

He isn't fine, he's actually underwhelming at higher elos. Think about it like this, you're playing a champion with the most counters in the entire game against competent diamond players.

zed buffs 2015.

Zed is a high risk pick, you have to stomp or you will lose the game because Zed is one of the most useless team fighting champions in the game, extremely hard to contribute properly in team fights. The ULT swap delay made it so that ulting as Zed during a team fight, in higher elo or pro scene, makes it that you are automatically suiciding, because they will pile on you in that 1 sec and 1 shot you (Zed is extremely squishy). Now, before the nerf, you could instantly R out, you wouldn't do much, but you wouldn't die, your team could capitalize on the situation and you could come back in the team fight after a few seconds.

The attack speed nerf and ult speed nerf made it so that Zed can't team fight at all and he can't split push effectively. This is why Zed died in the pro scene, just too weak to compete at pro level.

The 0.5 sec "buff" which is reversion of 50% of the previous nerf, won't do much, Zed will still be trash tier in pro scene.

Wow, a sensible post about balance acknowledging a champions strengths and weaknesses? incredible.

I'm not gonna say he is op or not.. but once upon a time I ganked a Zed at lvl 4 as Fizz - he was one level above me and had less than 50 energy with no spammable spells (he used it before to waveclear). I had ~30 AP, 1Q 2W 1E, ~80% HP, both buff with a Hunter's Machete... he -on the other side- had a Doran's Blade, 3Q 1W 1E, ~55% HP. You could question what happened?

I landed my full combo and started to AA him since he had no escapes. He did the same... applied his passive, 1E and ignited me (which I had no information about). Guess what? I died from his "combo" and he walked away with more than ~15% HP + an activated Dangerous Game spamming CTRL+4...

Moral of the story? Nah. It ain't has one. This game is sooo bullcrap. I hate Blitz, Ekko, Yi, Kata, Lee, Nasus, Nida, Rengar, Riven, Vayne, Voli, Yasuo and Zed players. (Usually) they are played by the most toxic 10 years old kids in the history of online gaming. Also... I know this doesn't belong here but we seriously need some useful tutorial, educational how-tos, or at least human moderators in the game, because the number of AFKers, ffers, spammers and misleaded teenagers who think they can 1v5 an entire team are too damn high....

Yeah, against anyone that isn't a complete idiot, even if they don't have a QSS or Zhonya's, in teamfights Zed is kinda useless. Because of the delay on his ult, he can be chain ccd and is almost always guaranteed to die and may not even kill his target.

Zed's whole purpose is to quickly burst down the enemy team's carry and swap with a shadow to safety, but he can't exactly do that anymore. He can still win in 1v1s, but teamfights are kinda hell for him.

Zed is a low skill floor champ but has a high skill cap.

He is easy to pick up but hard to master basically.
