I'm currently around silver 1 elo, and have had brand new players (i.e. never played ranked before) in my games.
I've been told that this is by design, but I don't see this as being fair for the new player or his teammates. Can we start new players closer to bronze, and not gold?

HOT BEEF 1 votesPlacements dosen't override the league rank server i believe that is why they have placements in the game. Imagine all of those players that don't play ranked be in bronze v lets just say there would be a lot

Itsbeghdev2 votesThe first game of Ranked I ever played (by accident!) was with multiple Gold players. I'd literally never played Ranked before. It happens, and that's what OP is complaining about.
Tönight We2 votesExactly. I'm talking about brand new accounts that have never played rank before. For example, I had an adc on my team who had never played rank before that was going up against a gold V opponent. Needless to say, my adc got annihilated.
