Support role has A TON of impact

I've been and Adc, Top and Mid main over the past seasons, during this preseason I'm training to be autofilled and not suck at it by learning the basics of the majority of supports.

In the next season a lot of players will be autofilled Support, and when you get autofilled and are actually good at it, it makes a really big difference. As if you opponent would be playing in an off-role and you in a comfort role every game, isn't that insane?

I believe One-Tricking support champions isn't optimal, different team comps need different kinds of Utility, Engage, Disengage, Wombo Synergy. That's why I'm trying to develop a large champion pool.

As a Support, you have the Power to say "F* you" to that LucianBlitzcrank into your Jinx by picking TahmKenchMorgana or something that can follow up on their engage and turn it around.

You have the power to balance out your team, you may need a Tank, a Healer, Engage, Peel, something that fucks up enemy combos or something that makes your Adc, Mid, Top or Jungle very strong with some specific buffs.
Caitlyn Nami into Twitch is really painful I assure you.

As a support you decide the pace of the lane, and the way your team will play teamfights. You can screw up the enemy Jungler when you see him toplane by roaming and placing some deep wards in his jungle.

When I get into champion select I copy-paste this into the Search bar so that I have a vision of all the supports I can play and I try to pick the best one fitting the team and the most annoying for the enemy team:

I'll chime in with a little tip. Don't buy these: item 2303 item 2302 item 2301

These are often noob traps. The actives on Talisman, FotM, and Spellthief's are invaluable. Rarely do supports actually benefit from having the extra slot given up by Sightstone. The only time I recall six item supports being able to get and need six items, is AP supports / off-meta supports. Ruby Sightstone's passive is also incredible, considering a majority of your items will be active items.

When you path back to lane, don't immediately go to lane. Path to the river bush closest to bottom lane, and check it for a control ward. Chances are the enemy support (if they're good) thought of the same thing. If you're lucky, there will already be a control ward for you to take out. Place yours, and move to ward for your mid laner. Now, go back to lane.

You're missing the top dog support.

Support role has lots of impact if you have competent allies. Then your impact becomes their strength which they get credit for and you get none 98%. While if your allies dont know what they are doing or cant exicute plays properly you have no choice but to sit back and accept your loss or split push with a build where you cant do anything and pray the enemy ignores you.
