Petition to let Darius have "Ult Kill Identifier"

Yes the title sucks, so I'm gonna try to explain more thoroughly here

For example, Evelyn will have some warning sign above her head when she knows she will be notified by nearby enemies. And Nidalee can see which enemies has the Hunted mark so that she would deal bonus damage to those specific targets. Why not give Darius a kind of mark on the enemies to show that he can do the killing blow with his ult? So that way, Darius can be able to utilize the refreshing ult perfectly well going after one by one.

But for this to work, there is a chance we have to reduce the refreshing time from 20 seconds back to 12 seconds to make it fair. I'm making this thread for the sake of those who are too excited into buying Dunkmaster Skin and then uses Darius like shiet.

no just no

giving a champ an indicator that they can kill someone with an ability is not a good idea. it removes the skill aspect of trying to calculate in your head whether or not your abilities dmg will be enough to kill the enemy. and this leads to some epic moments where enemies live or die based on that judgement. and an indicator on when you can use an ability to kill is completely counter progressive to this aspect of the game

Meanwhile Cho'Gath gets this on his Feast.

This has very little to skill and more to how you hover over Darius's R, read the maximum damage and then wait for the enemy's health to dip under that number. It isn't like using Smite, gameplay and team-wise.

This guy's got a good point. You see that on Evelynn cause she's squishy as **** and you gotta stealth out. You've gotten too close and they know you're there. That makes sense. You're just trying to buff Darius's ult way too much. I honestly don't like the idea. But the refreshing time should be nerfed a bit. Not to 12, but I'm thinking 15 would suffice. Maybe. Darius

Cho'gath already has it on his ultimate.

Zed already has one on his ulti. Why not Darius?

Because Zed often has to use his ulti, Q, W, and perhaps an active or two. The shuriken indicator lets you know when you can walk away without wasting anymore spells or cooldowns.

And y'know, not True Damage.

this skill aspect does not exist anyway ppl just hold the executes till the end and if they dont they pray on luck for it to work never being able to predict how much dmg they deal

Cho'gath already has it on his Ult (indicator around champions that his ult would outright kill them), not sure why it'd need nerfs since it's a QoL change that probably a lot of Darius players want.

I'm in the opinion that having to do the math in your head is not a fun skill to learn. It's already difficult to see at times how many stacks you have on someone in many cases that it could lead to misplays, this would be a nice addition for the majority of players.

the difference between cho and darius is cho doesn't have a reset on his ult and darius does.

But if Cho'gath doesn't get a kill with his ult, then he doesn't get a health stack.

They both gain benefits from kills with their ultimates, they are just different benefits.

A much more elegant way would be to simply have the skill disabled until someone is low enough that it could kill them.

However, it's a very silly idea that just removes skill from the game. Currently it's basic math to know when an ability has kill potential. You can at any time (like say, when walking back to lane) check your damage. You can also see your targets hp. At that point you're doing basic addition and subtraction to figure out whether a skill or combo of skills can kill.

That ability to calculate damage is hugely important, as it lets you know before you engage if you even have a chance of killing. Once you get skilled enough to predict an enemies damage output as well, this skill is even more invaluable. So making abilities that remove the need for you to develop and acquire a skill needed on every other champion, just seems like a terrible idea.

that's not elegant, that's retarded, and ability to calculate damage still exists (and in a much more "skillful" way, so to speak) in ulting earlier than the instant-kill-threshold to guarantee a kill through bleed / ignite / whatever, as ulting before your opponent expects might guarantee you get a kill instead of him flashing away etc

The only downside to what I suggested was the inability to use it as a non-execute.

Since the op is complaining about people misusing their ult, and subsequently demanding an indicator for when it will kill, I gave an idea that wouldn't add to screen clutter.

Regardless, the point of my post was that his idea of any indicator at all was terrible because it reduces skill.

i agree although ur reasoning is faulty.. zed let has a kill indicator when u can let the victim run and u know they will die (zhonyas and heals not withstanding) cho bath has a kill marker for his ult and i think one other champ might as well.

That would subtract player skill from executing his enemies. But your title gave me a better idea:

HOW ABOUT WE GIVE HIS AXE KILL MARKS!

Why on earth did you respond on a 2 year old thread.....

(Plus I'm over this idea already)

That's great.

It just showed up in the recents.
