in game I normally get around 50 FPS (which is plenty) But whenever I use a recording software it drops down to like 5 fps to 13 fps :(.

Things I have tried and failed with...

  • OBS
  • Plays.TV
  • Fraps

LSI records your games. It doesn't take up that much memory either. You can replay your games in spectator mode. It doesn't record chat but it's the one I use and I like it ^_^.

It doesn't actually record the match though, it saves the replay to a file for you. I used to use it, I did get occasional FPS lag but it was minor (it was from setting the screen shot option to take a ss every 30 seconds).

I highly recommend it though, it is extremely useful in helping gain S ranks, it shows you stats that are valuable to know and rewatching replays to identify and correct your own mistakes is A1.

Recording software will always cause an FPS drop. I feel your pain, I killed my good video card and have been rocking a nvidia G210 now for 3-4 years.

Not sure how light weight a recording program can actually get.

an interactive game, and a recording program will both have real time requirements. Perhaps you can reduce the overhaul on the recording application if it records at a slower frame rate, or a lower resolution.

If you can't, (or wish not to) sacrifice quality on your play back, you would need a better computer that can handle multiple applications. (perhaps a multi core processor to allow applications to run in parallel, you might need to check your memory usage as well.)

Just use LOLrecorder or some other sort of software like that to watch the replay of your game. Op.gg also has a record button. You can watch the replay and record that. Then it wouldn't matter because you're not in game. Hope it helps.

Ive also use lol recorder, that is the one I forgot the name of Ironically. hmm...

It should not lag you. I have a wooden laptop that drops to 10 fps without anything. LoL recorder does not lag me.

Maybe Ill give it another try. And do you mean it doesn't lag when recording replays? Or does it not lag in game as well?

Both. I also have game booster on.

Or just use op.gg... it isn't even on your computer/laptop. They save the replay online for you if you click record when the game starts.

LSI works well, you can specatace any games on any sever if you don't want to play. theres a filter option to watch replays of certain champs you played in certain queue and also you get an indepth death sheet thing as a hot key and can see stats of the enemy team with another hot key

Split the output signal using a splitter box. Use a capture card on a second, stand alone computer. Record to the drive on said computer.
