Ok, so you don't plan to eliminate damage at all, Riot.
This is by far the biggest issue the game is facing since Season 8 and it seems that it remains the same, or getting worse.
After reading the post about the preseason changes, many things are questionable.
The adding of brushes, in-lane coves for bot and top and changes of thr map according to specific elemental drakes are pretty neat additions slightly boosting up strategic positioning tactics around the jungle. Cool.
The Infernal Drake is pretty much the same.
The Ocean Drake? I will miss that in-lane sustain with mana. But not too bad of a change overall.
The Cloud Drake is imo the most snowbally of them all. Pre-3 buffs effect is refreshing by giving some MS in a specific area that can allow players to escape possible positioning mistakes. But with 3 Cloud Drakes taken? You basically add Spear of Shojin feature for every team member that has 3 of its buffs. Of course you pray to RNGesus for that not to happen, but if it does, god help the team without it survive those cooldowns.
The Mountain Drake is the most balanced of them all, and what the game REALLY needs, resistance stats. First you take away true damage for structures and epic monsters which reduces the advantage of teams that are ahead and already having this buff on them and you offer armor and MR stats now. This change is what the gameplay needs, more resistances across the duration of a match; shame you are not tunning down the damage for the next year as it seems.
Dragon Soul buff is another unnecessary dmg buff no one asked for.
Elder's execution ability is not a good change. It might sound balanced since it is a late game event, but it still eliminates some survival chances that can make a difference in case someone survives a teamfight with low HP. Nope, you get executed instead...
The XP nerfs in the jungle are horrible. Gromp and Krugs get better XP and the rest of the camps are having cuts of it? Way to go making jungling sound even more exhausting for the jg mains. Not mentioning the duo laners XP nerf with the elimination of the coin support item. Making changes that nobody wants or asked for. Now the top laners coming to roam will have visible level advantage over bot that is very snowbally?
I don't know... Overall i am happy of the map changes, spear being gone and such, but these changes bring more DAMAGE options instead of looking to tone it down. It is not fun anymore, i thought Riot would understand this meta is not what the game needs. It seems like this sort of hope is gone for good.
