Autofill brings the worst of both worlds

So, now we have autofill, which makes matchmaking more like it was before dynamic q started, when we could solo q. Now, who do you think is going to end up getting "autofilled" to a random role? That's right, the solo players, because I'm sure it prioritizes roles for premades. So, not only do I have to play with/against a premade, I might have to also take a role I'm not good at or haven't played since dynamic q started? Give me a break.

Congrats, Riot, you've just combined the worst features of both queue systems.

you are so far away from the level where autofill happens (Diamond+ matches) where you'll never understand what happens in those match making and how it feels.

You understand that it does (and already has happened) in all tiers, if there are few enough folks on, right? Like omg I'm not a Diamond god I'm so sorry for expressing a (well-thought-out) opinion.

no .. its not enabled for diamond and below ..

they did it for the high ELOs cos of lack of players queuing up. We don't get such a problem at our elos.

How do you know this? When I logged on this morning, I got a notice that it was in effect for me bc of low population of people playing right now. Now it's not there, because more people are playing, I assume. They did a server update this morning, and I believe one of the reasons was to enable this.

I want to point out that according to a riot post from a few weeks ago, people in bronze were also getting autofilled, rarely. This doesn't effect him. It just amuses me that he is closer to getting autofilled than you might have thought.

Your point still stands, of course. I just thought it might interest you as much as me.

Dude, are you serious? How would you f'ing know? I got a notification in champ select that autofill was enabled bc there weren't enough people playing at my elo at the time. It said it's always enabled for diamond and higher enabled for all tiers when there aren't enough folks on. If you search for "autofill," you'll see numerous posts about it in the past 24 hrs. For you to so fucking smugly make the statement you did, you have to willfully remain ignorant to the possibility that someone knows more than you.

Okay dude. Live in your fantasy where everything you think is the truth, regardless of what reality is. I experienced this firsthand. Many others have as well, as noted by the boards. Why would we en mass make this up? If it hadn't happened, why would I even know about it?
