Trolling Supports

My last 3 games in a row (not counting the remake), my team has had a troll support. The first was a Swain support, who fed and died over and over. The second was a Thresh who decided he wouldn't play with the ADC because he was a Jhin with Warlord's Bloodlust. The third game was a Syndra support who decided 5 min in that the Ashe ADC wasn't good enough, so she went and stole cs and xp from mid and top.

This is utterly and unbelievably ridiculous. Matchmaking and the ability to climb is completely broken, and it has literally nothing to do with skill. I'm probably gonna quit playing at this point, just because I'm so demoralized from not even getting a chance to win.

Edit: And the loss before that, had a Diana running pure Attack Speed. Like seriously?!

While certainly unfortunate and demoralizing, keep in mind for every troll who gets pushed into the support role there are reliable and passionate support mains who try their hardest for their team.

Fixed it for you. Over the long term, trolls on your vs. opposing team will average out, so if you don't troll and are better than your ELO you will climb. Might take a while, but if you belong a tier higher, and don't feed/troll, you will climb in fairly short order. If you aren't after a few dozen games, look for reasons in your own gameplay, or throwing/giving up on winnable games.

I wouldn't attribute this to broken matchmaking though. The only real marker of trolls is that they lose games than they would will if they did not, and this will make their MMR sink. Past mid-silver troll support are pretty rare for that reason. Everyone can still have a bad game, but trolls do not happen that often there.

Yeah for sure, and I'm super appreciative for them. Good supports can seriously make or break a game. I just can't believe the amount of games I get trolls on my team. Most of the time, the games I don't get trolls, I'm autofilled to support or mid and have a terrible game bc I'm pretty bad at those roles. The games I get to play my main, I have all the trolls... very disheartening.

It's understandable to feel that way. The biggest issue are people who don't entirely grasp the role of support or take it seriously. All I can say is don't lose hope. We all have these games. Good luck in your future games.

While i've considered Viktor support, because eventually as a support main, boredom sets in and I take creativity in off meta picks, I keep them to normals. Sorry this keeps happening in your ranked matches. :/

I had an autofilled mf that rushed dark seal and ap because she wanted mid and doesn't like adc, she backed off from fights and pinged to go in then allowed me to die under tower spammed that her heal was up and said she could have saved me but she doesn't have the new karma skin so shes going to make me int.feed so that I get banned....lol
