Can't tell what's going on with some masteries

Let's see...

There's one where you deal 1% more damage for each enemy champion you've killed. How do you tell how many, and which ones, you've killed? There's one where you can regain HP upon killing a unit, but it's on a timer. How do you see the timer?

There may be more, but I don't like having to try to memorize (or worse, just guess) at this stuff. Is there any way to see it? And if not, can we please get a way?
