so according to op.gg Challenger 44% Master 62% Diamond 53% Plat 50% gold 50% silver 48% bronze 44%
Meanwhile Ahri Challenger 64% Master 57% Diamond 54% Plat 54% Gold 52% Silver 50% bronze 47%
Almost looks like Ahri is in line with morde's winrate... even higher in everything except master tier... So I'm still a little confused with how morde is "out of line"
Also fyi, it looks like no champion in bronze has above a 50% winrate... Sion is the closest at 49% chooo choooo.

HazyCloud73 votesAfter seeing like 15-20 Mordekaiser threads get upvoted to the front page and riot deciding to go away from the mana/cdr Rylai's option due to "community backlash" I expected riot to tailor Rylai's to Morde with a buff to the HP and a fairly significant AP nerf along with a nerf to the AoE slow on Rylai's and minor nerf to the single target slow.
Instead 9000 years later riot: LOL NOPE we are just gonna gut the stats, the cost efficiency, the slot efficiency, and the slow.
Anyway if he needs it I'm sure he'll receive some buffs in 7.1. It'll mean a rough 2 weeks for Morde players, but then judging by the abomination that is the current courage of the colossus that was allowed to release to live with its current numbers, and riots decision NOT to hotfix or disable Yasuo and Riven after they had game breaking bugs (extra auto for Yasuo when ulting + Riven fast Q combo too fast) a while ago its not a surprise.

I am actually excited for the rylai's changes. The lowering of cost makes it so he can buy it quicker and the only reason he got it was for the slow the ap and health lowering is a little bad but he can just buy more items and get said health and ap. With the gold he now has.

I'm worried more about the late game stats than I am being able to buy it sooner. Most games don't end just because I purchased rylis.

I do think it's kind of bs that they think he's out of line though. He doesn't excel at any particular roles except in certain matchups (ex: vs a yasuo), with jungle being his safest.
HazyCloud73 votesYou really have to feel it for yourself to get an idea just how much worse a 20% slow is compared to 40%. He has 325 base ms, being able to obtain it earlier wont matter if he gets kited into oblivion.
I don't play Morde but if I did I would imagine that the next few weeks are going to be really frustrating. I can somewhat relate, since the Rylai's nerf means I'll never land Viktor's aftershock on anybody who has hands but I suppose he's been strong for quite a while...can't be too bummed.
Backup4now1 votesIt's true that the 20% slow is not much compared to 40%, but Morde already has to deal with not having a slow before getting a rylais. There's a 7-12 minute part of the game where he does not own rylais, assuming he rushed it, and he still has to live during that. Did you know a lot of Morde players don't even get rylais first? Many get boots and abyssal or protobelt or some shit like that first instead of the uber-core item.
If players can deal with not owning rylais for so long, they can deal with owning a worse version of it sooner in the game.

Its 600 gold cheaper and lost 800-900 stat value that's not factoring in the gutted passive
