Demotion

I was wondering if there is some kind of message shown when you will be demoted a tier. Like Gold 5 to Silver 1. I found this at a site owned by Riot, but I was wondering if it was outdated. They said you will see a notification at your profile, but that was before they changed the profile with Mastery points and stuff. Here is the quote:

"Temporary shields will stop players from dropping into a lower tier immediately after promotion. You will be shielded from demotion for the next 3 games after you advance a division. If you advance a tier, you will be shielded for 10 games (3 games for Master Tier). Furthermore, if you are in danger of being demoted to a lower tier, you will receive a warning in your Summoner Profile."

So is this still a thing, and is it true I am shielded for 10 games? Thanks for reading and answering!
