Some people these days

Just finished a game, and what I saw... I'm just losing faith in the community. So all of us sort of lost their lane, but the game was far from over. There is always a chance of coming back, we also got late game champs and we weren't that far behind. So I went top to gank our Irelia, and when I go in she just stands there and spams laugh while jax kills me. Then she comes with the excuse that the game is already lost and that we should let them win. When I say something about it I get immediately flamed to the ground by Irelia as well as the enemy team. So now Irelia is intentionally feeding and we have to play 4v5.

I mean if you don't even wanna give it a try, just don't play. Now you are ruining other peoples games. I have had enough comebacks to know we still had a chance, but too bad. And this wasn't even in like bronze, but Gold/Plat, I mean you expect a some sort of better attitude there...

Thing is, you never know that person's mindset. They could be on a tilt from a previous game or have had a rough streak. I've had it before where I lose one game and enter another one to try and win only to find my team behind 10 kills around 15 min and I feel like giving up.

Mental fortitude/condition from previous games can have a big impact and I think a lot of people, (myself included) have the bad habit of entering another game to try and win after having a particularly bad loss. They're full of bitterness and longing for a win instead of having fun. Therefore they get salty/toxic/uncooperative and want to give up.

Yes comebacks are possible but with the current state of the game, especially thanks to preseason, they are a needle in a haystack and many people just want to end the bad experience. Nobody likes staying in lane against a fed zed for longer than necessary for instance.
