Talon v. Zed advise

recently picked up talon and he is REDICULOUSLY fun to play. I've playe about 50 games against bots to learn his combos and how to dodge skill shots with his e (still need alot of work on that, but for the really obvious shots i can dodge most of them). I ban ahri against him because she just seems to destroy talon, ive beaten many Yasuo, and played a few games against annie, orianna and others and havent had a problem. People keep telling me Talon counters Zed but i dont see how...like it just seems like a good match-up rather than a counter...if i go all in he just shadow dashes away. if i poke him down i run out of mana and he still has all his energy because energy champs be stupid that way...so my question is, how to you counter zed as talon? maybe im just not doing his combos right or missing a key element of the match-up

i'm not too sure on the match up, though i believe it has to do with the ults level 6. zed ults you, you also ult and he doesn't see you unless he got a pink ward. zed is getting a nerf to his W so you might find the match up easier after the next patch.

This. Also if zed uses his shadow/ shuriken combo pre-6 u can basically go in(assuming he missed the shuriken) .

thenks, i had gotten out of a match against a very trashy zed player talking like "noob talon cant even beat a champ he counters"...i was thinking like "im not sure i counter you as much as have a somewhat easy mach against you"

basically every time he would shadow->shuriken-> "spinny attack" i would e q turn w but he would always be able to escape. and even lvl 6, he ulted me, i ulted, but his spin attack would still hit me even though i was invisible so i would useually die...

its a complicated match up

before the next nerf, zed is a stronger assassin at the moment, though it's possible to win still. he was likely trying to just tilt you so it would make a win easier. when people say stuff like that directly at you, it's to get on your nerves a bit.

I usually wait for him to waste W, and when I jump on to him, I ult instantly and W to "reactivate" my ult as quickly as I can. W and R are the only two abilities I'm worried he will dodge with his ult, because he can't dodge Q. I also don't bother trying to use my ult to reposition too much once I'm on him, in case he pink wards me and dodges the second half of my ult.
