Aaatrox is able to heal 445 hp with his circular knockup skill with a phage and vamp scepter. How is this mechanic healthy, when it's impossible to bully him out of lane as melee champ? Oh, I got harassed? Just slap a minion wave to heal everything back up. His sustain is way more unhealthy than Maokai top when Maokai was during his peak in the tank meta.

I still don't get it. I would be staying out of his Q range when he's casting it. How can I magically teleport to him to engage once it's done? Explain to me like I'm 5.
UnboundHades1 votesthe problem you stated is that aatrox is healing too much from using q on the wave the solution to this problem is to walk up to him from the side of the wave when hes still casting q making him either have to fight you and lose the healing and not being able to deal much to you because you should already be past his sweet spots on his q or he can continue to get the wave but if he does that you can freely harass him because aatroxs only real escape is his r

So assume I was trading with Aatrox as Garen, I'm at half health and he's at half health, If he chooses to Q a minion wave, after we traded, then he would be at full health while I'm around 60%. Now I have to Q E W him from the side, hoping I reach him, before he can W E away for a bit then Q again? I get the premise you play around him like how you play around Darius' Q, but Darius was still strong against melees and needed a 2v1 jungle camp to effectively shut him down.
Edit: To clarify, if I was playing aatrox and I need sustain, I can use the first and second cast of my Q for healing, while keeping my third cast for a disengagement or a heal spike like how riven can use her third Q for an knock-up or a get away card depending on situations.
