Riot should promote macro awareness through videos and game modes.

I played a lot of RTS before I started League and I got to say macro awareness is pathetic across 90%+ of the league community. The macro awareness of someone who can get into the top 30% of league would have put you in the bottom 30% of Warcraft 3 around 2005 when the ultra casuals had mostly quit and the competitive scene was still strong.

I would love to see all levels of play increase in skill. If Riot produces more content like "Teamfight brakdown" except geared towards basic Macro awareness the average level of play would gradually increase. I have played since season 1 and I'd say the average silver player is much more mechanically skilled than the avarages 1400 elo player was back in those days.

But even with all the changes to pings, even with free vision tools for everyone, map awareness and general macro play remains terrible across the majority of the playerbase. Riot has given people all the tools they need to communicate at least decently well without even needing to type much and adds more every few patches. Now its time to teach people how to use them.
