Don't you think Ornn is anti-offense?

I've checked most of Ornn's spells and it all feels like it cries "YOU NEED TO PLAY HIM TANK, ANYTHING ELSE IS NOT VIABLE!"

I like doing off metas and surprising people, so I was like thinking I could play AP Ornn with his big buffalo R and maybe W, but then I watched how disgusting his scaling was, 20% AP, and how his W doesn't even ahve a scaling at all. Why did riot make such a useless scaling on R? Nobody will build a single AP item on Ornn with it being so low... Not to mention the base damage is already pretty okay, so what's the point?

They learned from Gragas about giving tanks damage scaling ratios.

Gragas still has very high scaling and damages. Gragas also have way more ease using his R compared to Ornn, so I don't see what's the point of making his R so low. It's just sad. Some tanks have disgusting damage and are easy to play, meanwhile Ornn has about no damage and has much harder time landing skills.

Nothing wrong with him being only good as a tank. The problem is he's a generally bad tank so he can't succeed as a tank in any places where tanks succeed.

Most tanks up to now have the ability to at least play offensively with a minimum of offensive...

AP Alistar, Leona, Nautilus, Malphite, Amumu, Gragas, Zac, Rammus, Maokai, Galio, Nunu, Taric

AD J4, Poppy, Gnar, Sion

AS Tahm, Braum, Shen (Lowkey)

Most of these champs have an extreme ease to land their skills and have them with high damage. Ornn's R is so clunky to land offensively, I've had such an ease dodging it... His kit cries way more support than solo toplaner imo
