As a main assassin player.. i am not getting how Ekko is a assassin

His W is his main source of execution so that is understandable besides the slow/stun/shield. So should i play him like a clean up champ like katrina or maybe like the AD fizz ( before they fixed him)? His Q does a lot of damage and adds a stack of his passive, but is fairly hard to land specially on it's way back or work around his passive trying to get as much damage from his passive, but Diana would be better in this case cuz her's doesn't have a 3 second cd. His e is pretty cool and shouldn't be reliant on damage only. His ultimate is a nuke but boy is it a hard to land....

Maybe instead of playing like a assassin play him like a fighter with his really nice combo with his passive and W ability.

My thoughts on ekko is he is balanced at higher levels of play. I might get downvoted to hell but hear me out.

Ekko's ult is INSANE damage but as you stated its hard to land. The lower elo you are the worse your opponents are. This means that

Ekko's ult gets easier to land the lower elo you go. This said at high levels of play you need alot of prediction and mechanics since your w and ult you have to literally think 4 secounds ahead to make plays. This makes ekko hard to play and predictable vs good opponents. In lower elos there is none of that usually people just get hit by the ult.

Lower teirs tend to tunnel pretty hard and ekko is a great counter engage champion this is why the majority of people think ekko is op, since the majority of people are lower elo and get hit by most ekko ults. That said to burst as ekko you just have to outplay your opponent or land your ult.

Ekko also is better at counter engage so if you get engaged on by a zed/lb you can return damage and ult for damage/zhonyas/heal and your w is a sheild/stun
