MMR for Ranked

So I got placed in bronze 4 at the beginning of the season, not a big deal because bronze isn't hard to get out of. But I have noticed that atleast 4/10 generally more of my players are or were gold last season. Normally this wouldn't be a problem with me, I learned the game under my brother who had about plat/diamond MMR when we played a lot. But with dynamic que and almost always being matched against groups, if not always, it's pretty difficult to climb where I am at

Is there any way I can change my MMR to where I am not constantly playing against gold players? Because when I get to gold it will just be plat players, and so on and so forth.
