Can someone explain the logic behind champion masteries plz

So i end a game with positive K/D, actually i had double the kills, and i win 100-200 mastery points because i lost...then next game i win with almost the same score and i get more than 1k points? Teh fuck? I thought this was individual mastery not about who wins or loses, just because everyone on your team has a negative K/D doesn't mean i get 10% of the points i get when i win, would be nice if you fixed that riot, if someone does good on a champion regardless of the outcome of the game he should be rewarded has such, no?

I can't speak much to the points specifically, but the overall grade (which does influence the number of points you get) isn't just your personal KDA. Your grade is compared to all the other players in the region playing the same role. (Bot lane Annie players are only compared with other Bot Lane Annie players). So it isn't just "If you get 20 kills you get A+" its "Only the top percent of X Champ players will get an S+ grade"

That said your teams do factor into your point gain:

Champion Mastery Gain=Individual Contribution+Team Performance+Party Bonus

From what I have noticed is if you get a S for a grade whether it be a +, -, or a normal S you get the same amount of points as anyone else that got the same grade. This always happens when I play with my friends.

Champion mastery doesn't mean anything anyway you can get it just by slamming wins i have seen tons of mastery 5 yasuos feed out of control

True its not that hard to get honestly, i just don't get the reasoning of gaining so much less points just because we lost the game has a team not me playing bad with that champion in that game.

I think that is fair, I also see dumb s scores or my friends do when you play bad and win, i kinda wish it went up to 10-15 mastery levels it would mean a lot more

It still wouldnt mean any more or less, it just means hey i spam this champion, i may or may not be good with it, but i sure as hell play it a lot.

Yeah I wish kda and win rate were taken into account.

I got an A+ on a Trundle game that I feel like should have gotten an S especially since I solo killed the nexus while having people trying to kill me. What did I learn? Apparently people playing Trundle jungle at like 21:00 last night had 200+ farm less than 4 deaths and even higher double digits kills and assists. Doesn't always seem logical but we just roll with it. Also, I think games where you blatantly hard carry give you more points too so play with friends that aren't as good as you.

there is 0 logic behind mastery other than to show that you play a champ alot
