Anyone have an advice for playing jg?

Hi guys, I used to be a Vel'Koz/Anivia main, but after many games where I was coinflipped by my jg feeding, trolling, flaming or straight up afking, I have decided that I'm gonna switch my main role to jg. It's a big change ofc since I have never really played jg that much before. My champion of choice is Kindred, and while I'm aware they are far from the easiest jungle I have so much fun playung them that it kind of makes up for it.

Now ive played around 25 games of jungle with them and almost every game I have fed. A lot of the time I die in the jungle because my laners dont roam despite having priority and me pinging. Occassionally I die in an invade, or because I dont know matchups and limits. It just feels like I'm never gonna be good cus on my main champs I usually don't die too much and have good dmg. Is it just a matter of spamming jungle games to git gud? At this point I'm feeling like I will never grasp the role.
