Damage is so out of control right now.

Amen, damage creep is disgusting this season, literally like playing URF Dota.
OP masteries, even more CDR on every item, without sacrificing damage or AP, all tank items nerfed. ADCs also got more dmg per lvl.

The masteries and adc items are definitely a problem. Too easy to access CDR Crit and Lifesteal. They get to enjoy so much utility and sustain. Speaking of which, Sustain is bonkers too. Season 6 has been an absolute slog to get through. I'm pretty sure I'll be going on hiatus for Season 7 if they don't remove a lot of the damage from masteries in preseason.
Wait.. is damage too high, or is sustain too high? I mean too high damage means people die too fast... too much sustain means people don't die fast enough.
So which is it?

Both. ADC itemization gives gobs of lifesteal, defenses and damage. Bottom lane is so volatile and spins out of control very very fast. Sustain + Ridiculous amounts of sustain makes for constant stomps. Defense itself needs to be better and damage needs to be trimmed.

Marksmen & assassins can build entirely defensive, and still 1-shot mages & tanks; yeah this season is the most frustrating so far.
I agree. I don't enjoy playing league very much anymore and looking back on it I think the keystone masteries were a major offender. Everyone and everything does so much damage now. I play a lot of backline damage dealers and I don't like how burst assassins and fighters are even burstier, like their damage wasn't frustrating enough before.
