REQUIREMENTS FOR RANKED GAMES

As far as i can tell, level 30 is the only requirement for playing a ranked game. I believe we need a second requeriment, not for playing rankeds, but for playing with certain champions on a ranked game.

At least one match with that champion in any of the modes available, aside ranked.

Sometimes a champion is used on a esport match and people get excited to play with that champion, jumping into a ranked match to collect some pentakills. Well, most of the time, if the player dont have a history with that champion, or the skill a pro player has, it will end up in defeat.

So, your champion pool in a ranked match will NOT feature the following champions:

  • Those removed by Riot for thechnical issues, if any.
  • Those banned by the team members.
  • Those you dont own. - Those you dont have at least one match played in any of the modes available, aside ranked.

And that should reset to every season.

You dont learn a champion in one single game, so it doesnt make sens to ask for this. Also I play on multiple accounts and i would be bored to have to play 1 game on every champion i could play in ranked on every account.

It would suck, however, to queue up with someone who plays a champ for the first time....ON RANKED. Do it in normals or any other modes other than ranked. If you play ranked, I assume you play to win with your very best. Obviously you dont learn how to play the champ to its fullest on your first time. Nothing is wrong with that. But if this shit happened to someone during someone else's promos, then you are gonna be flamed hard.

That is the point. I know you cant learn a champion by playing one match and Riot cant create tutorial matches for every champion, but by forcing players to at least play the champion once, you prevent some stupid situations.

That would seem kinda tedious for every other old player. Assuming everything went like that, a Syndra main like myself would have to play a normals game before I play ranked at most once, then have to do that the next season.

One normal, or weekend mode once a year to be able to play a ranked is a tedious task? Guess you guys are playing to much. I prefer to "activate" the champions i most play in ranked once a year, that play with someone that is trying a new champion on my promotional game. But hey, you can always get the points again and try another promotinal series, right?

I mean, whether your ideas are implemented or not, elo hell still exists. At least that much I know.

Leveling up every account to 30 is as boring as playing every champion at least once, to get into ranked matches. Most people cant even keep up with one account.

Starcraft243ver1 votes

Yeah but once you got your account lvl 30 you dont need to do it again every season.

You made that comparison, level an account to 30 and having to "unlock" your champions for ranked. Indeed it makes no sense. that was my point.

They could also change the typical draft champions owned requirement to be "at least X number of champions with 1 mastery). I see no fault in a system where people can only play champions they have a single mastery rank on. Which is quite literally a couple games.

Smite uses this system, only God's with at least 1 level of mastery are allowed to be picked.

That would be the best solution possible.

i would go a bit further to champs with mastery 4
