Controversial opinion: DON'T nerf Mordekaiser yet

We've got an Illaoi situation on our hands again where it feels more like people don't know how to play against a champion and instantly demand nerfs.

Mordekaiser has a very easy learning curve and is probably almost as easy to pick up as a Garen is, meaning we're rapidly seeing optimized play with him.

The problem is, nobody is respecting his Juggernaut levels of damage, choosing to approach him in a head on fight and getting destroyed over and over again. If people were to respect his Q and E, the way they respect Darius's Q and E, we wouldn't have as bad a problem with him as we do now.

Tl;dr, he may be strong but stop feeding him and you're good.

Dude, I play ALOT of Garen. Have over 1 million on him. I played on garen yesterday vs mordekaiser, and thanks to jungle help, got two kills and about 30 cs up on him, only to have him destroy me, and the jungle at the same time. He's op, and needs a serious nerf. I'll be permabanning him every game until they do.

YES, THIS EXACTLY! Mordekaiser has counterplay options, isn't invincible, and can lose very easily. However, because he's easy to play + people have yet to understand how to play against him he's dominating. Some people could say that the whole "people don't know how to play against him" claim is bull, but I can provide proof for that. In your Illaoi example, back on release people litterally would stay near her and try to fight her when she ulted. Think about how stupid that is now, but then people just didn't know. Back on Morde, I've personally seen people try to flash out of the death realm, and walk past the edge and just sit there cause they couldn't.

Not controversial, this is the correct opinion.

Hes easy to pick up and play, and understand what he does while youre playing him. Its not as easy when youre only playing against him.

And hes a juggernaut, people love playing the game like its CoD and running face first trying to get kills without thinking, which is good if youre morde, not good if youre going against him.

Well, if people did not learn from yuumi that we should wait then we will never learn. Morde is fine from what I have seen. Im not that high up on the ladder but I have yet to lose to a morde in lane.

Live for 2 days and people have been campaigning for Nerfs since before he Hit PBE.

Frankly people are just upset you have to Build to Counter him Now.

You can't fix stupid, you can try to educate about counterplay options they refuse to take.

I think Morde is Strong and people don't know how to fight him yet.

You using Illaoi as an example is the worst possible thing you could of done if you want to say not to nerf him. Illaoi got changed so she is easier to deal with(aka nerfed).

What is there to say? Lvl 2 Just let him push the wave to the turret?

No one can 1v1 him top lane.
