@Lyte. New champion select and Dynamic Queue
I'll be brief, but clear and I'll try not to come across as complaining. But, my main roles are:
Primary - Jungle Secondary - Support
Prior to the season restart, I was getting roles at approximately the following rates: Primary - >2/3 of the time Secondary - approx 1/4 of the time Fill - only 5-10% of the time
Now, since no one seems to ever pick support, I'm getting Primary - 1/4 of the time (maybe) Secondary - > 3/4 of the time
I understand support is an under-represented role, but I shouldn't have DOUBLE the chance to get my secondary role over my preferred role.
I know some people will say "Just don't pick support then" But that cuts both ways, becuase support honestly IS my second most preferred role and I'd rather support than mid, top or ADC. Others will say "well if you want support what's the problem" The problem is: I like supporting just fine, but it's not my MAIN role, and I very rarely am GETTING my main role anymore.
Not that jungle is super fun with all the premades running around. Believe me, now that dynamic queue lets you 2 man or 3-man multi-queue without any penalty, I've seen a large uptick in 2-3 man shaco or nidalee premades just camping the enemy jungle hardcore.
I understand that Riot states that, if the enemy has a 3 man premade, there's a very high likelihood that your team will too. And, while that might feel fun and fair for the 3 man premades, it does NOT feel fun for the other two people stuck playing supporting characters in the "who has the better premade" game. Not that you can't still occasionally pull out solo-queue-hero moments even in those situations, but, in general, it comes down to which premade was better.
