The game needs an anti-kiting item to help Volibear/Garen/etc. without making Jarvan/Irelia/etc. OP

Randuin's and Warden's Chainmail was nerfed so hard simply because, despite the item letting the likes of Volibear BARELY function...it made it impossible for ADC's such as Miss Fortune and Varus to survive. Worst, the item made bruisers who already gap-closer unescapable. So it was sort of a double-whammy no thanks to, among other things, how imbalanced the roster of bruisers and ADC's have gotten. There's a very clear distinction of what bruisers and adc's are good and which can not thrive.

The obvious casualty here are...the easily kitable bruisers that are already easy to get away with even when they had Warden's Mail became even easier to kite.

So the solution here is obvious. Make an item that let's hilariously kitable champions such as Garen compete...without it being OP on the likes of Vi. Alright Riot. Go. Would let them have a chance to actually deal with mobile ADC's while absolutely obliterate immobile ones...Riot may also need to work on the latter as well.

It's nice to say that...but show me an item that lets Garen / Olaf / Darius / Volibear avoid being kited forever and I'll show you an item that Vi / Irelia / Jarvan / Xin will simply be better with.

Since all the aforementioned characters value similar stats, I can't think of a way to make the item tempting to kiteable characters without making it abusable by characters who have no problem reaching the target.

Any suggestions?

I remember back in the good old days when Omen had a chance to slow the person attacking you by 35% instead of this 15% nonsense.

Had to walk fifteen miles in the snow to buy it, though. Up hill both ways!

Irelia truly needs a rework. I still think riot needs to implement items in this game that some champions simple can't afford. This way, the kitable champions can buy it, but those who would be OP with it cant purchase it in the shop

sounds like you just want to add back the slow from item 3143 and we can also add the slow back to it's lower form Warden's Mail if you want bro. fixes are really easy if you want just talking about kiting

when you get hit by a attack you slow the person that hit you for 1.5 sec for like 15% of ms

an item that slows anyone who attacks you would nerf kiting and wouldnt make champs like vi more powerful unless the dumbfuck who is trying to run is AAing

The dumbfuck AA-ing you will be completely fine if they know how to hop/fly/teleport away.

The dumbfuck AA-ing who don't have a built in self-peel or escape, just got their entire existence invalidated because they can't even attack what is likely, their only target to attack as the frontliner.

Also, an item like that existed before. And it was precisely how effective it was on the likes of Vi that it was removed from the item.

There already is it's call Thornmail item 3075 . Randuin's item 3143 did have a slow on it when someone hit you. So just add that back on it and were good. Really bro we have the items we just Randuin's to have it's slow again and we are good bro.

item 3075 a completely inefficient buy in most cases except for niche situations such as the enemy team being mostly AD and it rather AA-heavy.

item 3143 read the opening post. Corki and Lucian are just going to be playing a cat and mouse game with the bruiser with this item. Varus, Ashe, and Miss Fortune just got their existence invalidated.

first we are talking about kiting with most ADC's use there auto attacks bro

We're talking about ADC's and most do AD so if they are hitting you with Auto attacks this will cause them to be punching them else in the face. I done this a lot with ADC's whiched caused them to blow them self up. So with ADC's it will help with that problem.

Then item 3143 just adding back the slow will let you be able to catch them if you are not too slow.

You sound like you want an item that is only available for champions without gap closers. If that's the case, you're not likely to get it. If you have something else in mind, say so.

Well. One way Riot COULD technically go about it is an item with a weakening Passive. Such as somehow reducing the distance travelled of non-Flash non-basic movement by 50% if the item is equipped.

Of course...atm ANY item that lets someone like Garen and Volibear catch a Tristana/Lucian/Vayne will also double as one big "fuck you" to Ashe, Varus, and Miss Fortune.

If that truly was the case you'd see a lot more Garens and Volibears. Not see them dominate mind you, but in the same frequency as others.
