Fiddle buff request

Bârd··4 votes·672 views

Before the summoners rift rework, it was possible go into the clear area just below the red side botlane tribush, and ult the long way through the terrain.

When the map was relaunched, some of the walls were fudged with a little. In most cases, this doesn't impact gameplay much.

In the case of Fiddle, it completley disabled a gank path; you need to burn flash after ult to cover the same distance.

What I request is a tiny buff to Fiddle ult range.

Maybe 20. Probably less.

EDIT Pull up this image.

Before the map update, Fiddle could stand in the red marker (right up against the wall), and could target his ult such that he landed in the orange area. After the map update, the wall was slightly thickened. Now, he will appear in one of the pink circles.

This isn't a matter of skill.

It is a capability that Fiddlesticks used to have that was taken away completely unintentionally, just because the map update thickened that wall slightly.

Imagine if Riot had done this such that Ezreal could no longer E over some walls that he used to be able to pass.

You can bet that they would notice how clunky it feels, and would increase his blink range just enough that he could pass over those walls again.

Before the rift update, you could use the "Thick wall flash" trick to get over the thickest part of the wall if you cast it in the right place.

The "wall cleanup" part of the rift update made that wall ever so slightly thicker, causing this gank to become impossible.

Like, in this image, you would stand about at the red marker (right up against the wall), and you would be able to pop out around the orange marker.

Now, you will pop out around one of the pink markers, further away from your targets. (forgive tbe MS paint)

You can still reach the orange spot. You will only hit the pink spots if they are the closest exit point to where you hover the mouse cursor in the terrain. Its just that you need to target dead mid but possibly slightly right of that right in the terrain. Blink rules will toss you out wherever the closest exit from terrain is and if you cast your cursor in the meat of the terrain mid bottom of it with just to keep from ending in the river bush the slightest bias to the right a few pixels. You can hit where ur aiming. Im pretty sure u can still hit that spot from the tribush as well if you know there is a ward in the clear area but not the tribush. I been casting to that spot prior to the map change and after without issues. Just remember ult blink is same as flash blink with regard to terrain blink rules. cast range don't matter. cast slightly past midway through any terrain and come out the closest exit point which will be the other side, though where exactly depends on closest exit to cursor.

Edit: i'm not sure of what points are reachable now, after watching back some games, I need to go into a custom to verify. In game i've been casting so quick then correcting with flash that i'm hitting a diagonal angle rather than straight up or straight down. Need in a non pressure situation to verify what I typed above.

Edit: Turns our your right. Can't do it with simple attempts to do so in custom; and trying to pull up grids in paintshop with screenshots to try to find certain pixels to click on is too much effort. Not sure the correct picture perfect spot along with the correct picture perfect pixel hover cast point is a great way to get around this and trying to find it is prob too much effort :). Sux that they screwd that up. Funny that I hadn't noticed it till I read your post.
